Noisy Americans, quiet foreigners. I left a day early due to a group of campers across from me. It seems my fellow Americans dont get the whole, peace and quiet in nature thing. Foreign visitors are always more respectful.

Loved the location so close to do the mist trail hike. Not as shaded but still had some shade.

Excellent to be in the park. Shouldnt do it any other way.We accidentally setup our tent out of bounds of the campground and got a warning from the ranger. But overall great experience.

The campfire smoke is awful at Upper Pines. I'm not particularly sensitive to smoke, but there's something about the valley that traps the smell and make the air feel very irritating to breathe. Otherwise, it was great to camp at such a convenient location to all the best trails and attractions in the valley.

Camping in Yosemite is always amazing! I will always camp here! Lots of "must sees". Day hikes to the waterfalls and Mirror Lake. Rafting down the Merced. Renting bikes to get around or bringing your own. Over view from Glacier Point. Walking through the Ahwanee Hotel. Looking for rock climbers on El Capitan. Pizza at Curry Village! It's all good!

Centrally located to access all that Yosemite Valley has to offer. That said expect lots of neighbors! Wish we'd been able to stay longer to check out more sites on foot but The Mist Trail whose trailhead is walking distance from Upper Pines was an amazing experience and well worth the effort!

The campground was beautiful. Loved the site along the river. Very disappointing that the shower facilities are not open this year.

Million dollar experience. Site 105 is a good site. Narrow driveway, trees on sides of pad.

I've stayed in Upper Pines at least a half dozen times over the last five years and have had a great trip every time. On my latest visit I was a little disappointed that a few of the bathrooms seemed to be closed and it was also unfortunate that Curry Village was closed, so there were fewer options for dining inside the park.

When I checked in the woman did not check us in for the 3 nights we were staying there, just the first. I had to check in again the next morning for some inexplicable reason. Just a minor hassle.
