Yosemite is a great park and Upper Pines is well located as immediate starting point for great hikes. The Yosemite shuttle is also within short walking distance.Having experienced other national park campgrounds, I did overlook the requirement for registration on entry among hundreds of other messages pinned to the entry post. Some note in the 'recreations app' might have helped me. Ultimately, the campground manager was kind enough to not expel us.

We loved this spot so much! Perfect for hiking the mist trail to Vernal falls and swimming in the emerald pool! We didnt even have to drive to the trial head! What a wonderful adventure! Yes neighbors are there but it was fine and it was nice to have bathrooms!

Beautiful campground though its always crowded. Stayed in 111 and 182 this week and had a great time compared last February. Both campsites were amazing. Mist trail is close to this campground and this saves you travel time. I can rate this 5/5 if campground has a shower.

Great area. Easy check in. Helpful folks at entrance. Cant beat the views.Only negative, stayed at 3 different spots. One spot so iced over, I had to dig my way out. I Shouldnt have tried backing in.

Magnificent. No matter how young how old or what level of activity you want Yosemite valley caters to it all. One of the most unique and stunning places I have ever been

The smoke from campfires was quite bad and gave me a bad throat. Knowing how unhealthy it is to inhale smoke/particles from wood fires make me think they should banned in those very dense campgrounds.

Quiet, clean, convenient campground in the heart of Yosemite Valley. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

this was the first time we have been to Yosemite Valley where the checkin Kiosk said "sites Available". Good weather and not crowded!

Love Yosemite. Very crowded during firefall horsetail viewing, but such is life!

Park rangers at this campground are incredibly nice, friendly, and knowledgeable. Also good to hear their opinions and perspectives on how to best enjoy the park. ALSO, bring a shovel! They are not joking when they say you may have to dig snow to pitch your tent when visiting in the winter.

One of the most beautiful places on earth! Always love my time here.

Only complaint: all of the water bottle filling stations were disconnected, presumably in anticipation of winter?

If you love camping and YOSEMITE, you'll love upper pines. Pretty roomy and great location in the valley. Bathrooms were kept clean. One thing about the bathrooms, toilet paper is only one ply. Make sure you bring your own TP. Other than that, it's great! I've been going for 30 years. Reservations are so hard to get though. I almost wanted to give a bad review so it would make it easier for me to get my reservations but I wouldn't do that.

It was a very well taken care of campground. There was quite a few people but everyone seemed nice and pretty much kept to them self. The only downfall is that the showers were non-existent. The showers that we was able to find required "shower tokens" never found any of those. Over all it was nice just make sure that you go on a week the park hasn't decided to do a controlled burn cause it can get very smoky.

The campsite was clean and well kept. Water sources were located near the restrooms and were easily accessible. The restrooms were clean for an outdoor restroom. Sites can be close to one another, so not much privacy if that's what you are looking for. You could potentially hear other people's conversations if they talk loud enough. It was nice to have a table/bench to eat on. These sites were nice to access specific hiking trails. Would definitely stay here again. Went Aug 18-20 , 2020, it was HOT. The fire pits were nice. The box of wood they sell at the Yosemite Village store was 10$ before tax. we stayed at the campsite that was towards the end of loops, so no one was behind us. We were the few campsites that were the furthest from the trash bins, restroom, and water, but it was only like a 3 min walk. The description says it can hold 2 cars, but was not sure how, if they park in a line or some other arrangement. Enough space probably to set up 2 large 6 people tents. I had very little signal at the campsites with T-Mobile and better signal with Verizon. But at the Village full signal and LTE internet for both companies. No plugs or outlets anywhere.
