I've been going up here all my life. I hope that someday, I'll have kids who I can take up here to see it all, too. Yosemite Valley warms my heart like no other place on this earth. If you're going, please take care of my home away from home. Clean up after yourselves, especially on trails, the rangers have enough to deal with. Don't leave anything in your car with a smell, not even toothpaste, the bears will find you and bad things will happen. And please, for the love of all that is good in the world, and for my heart to go with you, if you're climbing the Mist Trail, don't cross the railings at Vernal Falls, and don't swim in the Emerald Pool above it. Accidents there are probably some of the most preventable in the whole park.As to Upper Pines itself, if you're near the back, you might have a bit of a walk to get to the bus stop. Not much to be done for that fact. Late April, things start getting a bit wetter, so keep an eye out for muddy areas near water. Expect temperatures to still get near freezing at night around that time of year, prepare accordingly. Be friendly to those working in the park, rangers, etc, they super deserve it.May you fall in love with Yosemite Valley, the same as me.

had an excellent stay here at this campsite, a lot of shade. Just confused at the amount of empty camp spaces around us, even though it was mentioned that it was going to be a full lot.

Your survey does not work on iphone or ipad could not fill it up because it did not allow me to pick any of the star ratingsThe campground was overall ok/acceptable Did not like the location of the campground because you always had to drive out the valley to be able to see and explore other ateas of the park - this camp is atthe end of the valley no goodWould be nice to establish a camp similar to lCamp 4 which is more centrally located in the valley for Rvs like in my case I was in a small RV trailer 21 ft long. The parkis also very bike unfriendly we biked from our camp past Camp 4 , it felt like driving in an interstate , too many cars , driving fast and crazy very unsafe and bike unfriendly - no dedicated multi use trail - because of the crazy traffic we ended up biking mostly in narrow unmaintened trails with fallen trees, rocks - do not understand why there are bike rentals if no decent bike path are available - we used our own hybrid bikes ( mix of mountain road bikes) I would never try to bike in Yosemite again

The Upper Pines is great. Would be even better if you didn't have to walk so far to take a shower. A shower house within upper pines would have been great. Campsites were nice, and rangers helpful.

This was my first return to the valley in about 5 years, so I was very much looking forward to a wonderful, serene visit. Campsite reservation ranger A. Minich was very helpful finding me an alternate Upper Pines site when my first site was very difficult to get into. However I was Very upset with the tree cutting going on in the loop next to us. Not only was it obnoxiously noisy, but I was initially told they were cutting down dead trees, but I observed the crew cut no less than 3 trees that looked beautiful and green. So whatever happened to the NPS policy to let nature take it course in the parks? I was very pleased to see that the traditional names of the Ahwanee, Curry Village, and Yosemite Village, have returned and as always the rock faces are spectacular.
