We really enjoyed biking through the valley floor on our mountain bikes. We could stop and look at all the sites along the way. We drove and hiked to Taft Point and Glacier Point.

It's a good experience, but expecting a little more way for the carway. While in the rain there is no sun. Overall good experience

Some issues with trash left at our campsite (beer bottle caps and food wrappers) and nearby ones and quiet hours (neighbors brought & broke piata, got trash everywhere, and playing edm into quiet hours). Besides that the campground was great, bathrooms are always stocked with TP, the abundance of dish wash stations is great, water bottle fillers were a very nice addition, more dumpsters would be nice but not horrible getting to them either.

Very quiet campsite. No problems with neighbors, dogs, or loud noise. The campsite was clean when we setup our campsite

Yosemite is my lovely park, I used to camp here 3 to 4 times a year in the last 25+ years. However, compare to other parks, Yosemite has very poor facilities and services. In this trip at the Upper Pines, looked like no park rangers working at the camp. Restrooms were dirty, many cars parked in the wrong spaces (illegal ?), loud music at nights but no ranger stops them. I even tried to talk to park rangers but could not find one.

It was very good.

Beautiful place. Only the attitude about all the terms, policies and waivers, fingerpointing on you as if I was a small child to be lectured, and being rushed through the slots like in Disney World, have tarnished the experience.

Great to be in Yosemite in the Winter. Recreation.gov works. Only unusual circumstance - that hopefully can be remedied in the system - is the first night of a two night reservation for Upper Pines campground was cancelled due to high winds, and the entire reservation (both nights) was cancelled. The site I had reserved was important because it could accommodate our twenty foot trailer (and not all sites can). Winds died down and the campground was reopened the next day… but I had to make another reservation to secure the site (that I had already made a reservation for for two nights). It worked, but I could have lost the reservation if I wasn’t paying attention. Seems like a fixable problem. Should have only cancelled the first night of the reservation, and not the entire reservation.

I generally backpack in remote spots, so Upper Pines is not ideal. But the spots are good, it's well located, affordable, and not too noisy. If you can grab a cancellation for a night or two, it's a great jumping off spot for exploring the valley and Tuolumne Meadows.

I love the outdoors, all of it and staying in Yosemite valley is one of the most beautiful places on the planet in my opinion. One thing that really takes away from that experience is the constant droning of generators, especially during off-hours. The prevalence of rental RV's in the valley is getting out of hand and the majority of these users either don't know or don't care about generator hours and the nuisance they have become. The park rangers and campground hosts need to do more to educate the "tourists" on campground etiquette before it gets any worse, better yet, let's just ban the generators and people can enjoy the sounds of nature again.

The campground was clean and check in was easy. There are very limited food options in the winter and the new concessions seems more expensive than the old concessions were. Yosemite was as beautiful as ever and fall definitely seems to be a good time to visit even though the waterfalls might not be flowing as much.
