Generators and outdoor lighting at campsites should be eliminated. The noise and bright lights disturbed our enjoyment of a quiet star watching night.

Nice site, enough space and table, bearbox and campfire were fine.. The campgound is well situated except one road was closed and we had to do a long drive to come back from the store (which we hadn't realized). A lot of families were staying so it was not as quiet as other campgrounds we have been to but great atmosphere and everybody was in bed by 10PM anyway.

I really liked the location of this campground. The only drawback was that you had to make a short walk to the showers because the showers were not included in the restrooms. But they were free and towels were supplied. The bear boxes were very convenient for storing our food and acting as a food prep
surface. Yosemite was awesome!!!

PRIME CAMP SPOT short walk to get to multiple trail heads (Mist Trail 0.75-mile, and Mirror Lake 0.10-mile). Truly perfect spot, plenty of flat area, good tree coverage, while maintaining just enough clearance for a b e a utiful view of Half Dome.

Great location to see Yosemite. Sites are small & tight. No services so your on your own. There's water at the restroom area. No showers. But remember, great location for Yosemite. And try the Gypsie Guide service app. We love it.

Great location within the park with good facilities.

Limited services at the campground. It's confusing to find the system for taking showers at Curry Village. We're not sure that campground guests are even supposed to take showers there. Limited information throughout the park for how things work, for example, where bikes are allowed to ride, etc.

To bad one of the most busy National park cant have working showers for visitors. They have totally screwed up the park under Covid. I can go to local county parks and most state parks and they have showers. I love Yosemite and been going there for 50 years but the National park really screwed this up. O well thats progress!!!!

This has been the Best camping experience @ Yosemite Upper Pines, very pleasant and helpful rangers. Is probably because not to many people in the park, it was BEAUtiful!!

Absolutely loved this campground, amenities were great, we checked in late and our site was indicated at the gate on a sign and we were able to check in the next morning with the NPS guard to ensure we were all paid up. The views were breathtaking, given time of year there was a limited number of people in the campground ground which was nice and we got to enjoy the scenery and walk around with limited interactions from others.

Wonderful to listen to the Merced all night. Short, shady walk to Mirror Lake. Short walk to Happy Isles and Vernal Fall trail head. Short bike ride to Yosemite Falls and swinging bridge. Other campers were very quiet.

Yosemite is a magical place and Upper Pines allows you to be at the center of it all. Plus the Half Dome Hike is right around the corner!!

Our experience camping in Upper Pines was very good. The only downsides are that it is near impossible to get campsites even if you prepare and do everything perfectly, and due to the virus restrictions, many activities are closed. We tried for 7 days camping, got 1 day. If the park service wants people to visit throughout the year, why close the facilities for 8 months a year?

Location is amazing ... Disappointing that Tent campers and vans WITHOUT generators have to camp next to RV that use generators often and even worst put them between their site and ours. It is time for the parks to start limiting Generator use to certain areas only. He we are in one of the most beautiful places in California and it sounds like a dentist drill at breakfast lunch and dinner.

Camping here was THE BEST EXPERIENCE! I cannot wait to go back... took an evening dip in the merced River behind the campgrounds. Everyone around was friendly and respectful, clean bathrooms and the views are spectacular.

Too hard to get a reservation for a campsite. Need to open up the other 500+ sites which are now unused. The national park belongs to the American people, not to an exclusive group of rangers and employees and administrators.

Upper Pines staff is incredible. They are helpful and friendly. Camping is smartly organized and clean.Though, because we did not have a tent set on our lot, by the time we came to our spot by 20.00p.m. all, bought for the night fire and left for the day time unattended, wood was appropriated by some fellows campers. And the next day, when we came by 13.00p.m. to our lot to pack and take the food from the food locker and to check out somebody's bus was already parked on our driveway. So we had to do our packing on the street. So, brothers and sisters, lets obey the rules and behave in civil way while being allowed to behold this divine place on the Earth!Michele, from the Reservations office, you are the star! Namaste.

Really great campground! each campsite is spacious and well set up with plenty of flat ground for tents. Its also close to curry village so you can take showers. Its always quiet at night. Only thing to be aware of is there are usually restrictions for starting a campfire in the morning, so plan to cook your breakfast on a stove or make other arrangements.
