A nice, basic campground with potable water and flushing toilets. Thanks to park volunteers who share safety info / regulations, and are very kind!

The campground is crowded but overall pretty good. Great access to Curry Village and several good hikes (MIST Trail). The only negative is the smoke. They really should ban campfires in the Valley. The smoke gets so thick it chokes you. If you want to see what it's like to breathe in a forest fire this campground from 7pm - 11pm is for you. The smoke doesn't blow away and just lingers aground all night. The Valley is like a smoke trap. It is really the worst smoke I have ever seen in a campground. Luckily they only allow fires from 5-10pm but they really should ban the altogether.

Being a native New Englander, my girlfriend has been showing me everything beautiful California has to offer and Yosemite has topped the list thus far!

We ended up snagging three nights in Upper Pines and we couldn’t be happier! We hiked 10+ miles a day, cooked by the fire, and slept in our Tesla!

The bathrooms are what you would expect for camping, only what you need. The water bottle filling station was a pleasant surprise for our camel packs and bottles.

We did not use any of the shower facilities since we had a campsite shower but the bathrooms had been really clean.

The cost to camp, buy groceries for cooking (we are vegetarian and gluten free which they had options for!), and the merchandise (which we hoped would be slightly better), was very reasonable and did not feel gouged at all.

Overall our experience was beautiful and we would love to be back ASAP to conquer half dome!

Love this campground! Perfect location, restrooms clean and the site itself was nice and maintained.

All was beautiful. We were surprised to see the campgrounds full compared to the past several years. We were disappointed that
the showers were all closed.

We still had a very good time and were glad to see the snow!!
Thank you!

Beautiful, had a great time. REALLY needed a campfire to warm up in the morning but campfires only allowed at night. ??

Any experience at Yosemite is worth the planning and effort. For upper pines, most of the campground is closed due to covid and winter season. The parks system made the right decision in allowing limited camping as right now there is absolute tranquility when staying here. The restrooms are kept clean, check in always a breeze, and you cannot beat views of the night sky framed by trees and granite walls. Stayed here soon after reopening after a winter storm so shoveling out our site was a first but well worth the effort. Most of your surrounding campers won't be tent camping but some brace less comforts despite the weather. In the summer, would be a great base camp to go up to mist falls or other entries into the wilderness. Due to winter, some trails are closed or you have to navigate a safer route. Was able to do Upper Yosemite Falls and Four Mile Trail - both had significant snow towards highest points that would make some turn around instead of brace hip deep snow trekking or sketchy cliffs.
