What can I say about Yosemite Valley that hasn't already been said? It's simply amazing.

Very nice campground. Had a view of Half Dome from campsite as well as view of surrounding peaks. Nice walk to Mirror Lake. Bus stop short walk away. Beautiful time of year to visit. Snow on peaks and waterfalls flowing forcefully.

The overall location for this campground was great. Very close to Curry Village with some good/grocery options and not far from the welcome center. I had a few issues with my campsites. The first night of my arrival, someone else was parked in my assigned site and the ranger was already off duty for the night. This forced me to park in a site that wasnt assigned to me and only hope I wasnt compounding the issue and creating the same problem for someone else. The next night I had a different site and the parking pad was extremely potholed and had a huge drop off, in addition to being lined by trees, which make backing into the spot more challenging than normal. The spot badly needed repaved.

I’d always wanted to camp here. It did not disappoint. Great amenities. The proximity to the mist trail and Curry Village make it extra nice.

I think it is totally absurd that after paying $36 and during a pandemic there is not soap in the bathrooms.

Made so many great memories with our children here. Riding our bikes to the various trailheads and sites made this trip so memorable. Camping at Yosemite Valley will definitely be a new family tradition.

We were told the campground received snow prior to arriving so I called and spoke to fantastic lady who confirmed there was room for 2 cars. That was so false, we shoveled and shoveled. It would be nice if the snow plow spend a little extra time, it would have saved hours. Also, the water has no where to drain so the parking area is 3" deep with muddy water. Other than that it's a beautiful place and I look forward to coming back in the summer. PS, the local bathroom was closed the first 3 nights so had to walk 3 rows away to use the head.
