Great stay, kids played near the river and with the shuttle service just around the corner this campground is located perfectly next to Curry Village.

The views from site 071 were spectacular. Toilets were pretty clean.

Site #71 spacious and private. One of my favorite sites..except for bathroomThe is no walkway, have to cut through site #80 to access, not ideal for campers in site 80.

Great campground. Excellent host. Site was a bit close to the road but plenty of space which is unusual for Upper Pines. Would stay here again.

There was no soap, trash bins or hand dryers in the bathrooms. The state of California is in a drought but the faucets are the inconvenient ones that you press and water shoots out for a random amount of time before shutting off again -- It would be much more water efficient to have faucets the user controls. Important information about bears was printed and posted sdrawkcabbackwards -- How is that acceptable? NOT at all worth the $36 camping fee. As an Indigenous person, I hate to see what has become of our sacred lands in the lazy "care" of whiteness. Hewa!

Campground is beautiful and location is amazing. That said, it is pretty crowded together, but doesn't really detract from the amazingness. One issue is that the Yosemite campgrounds seem to be pretty trigger happy about closing down if there is any wind in the forecast, probably for safety reasons, but there was really not much wind on the weekend we stayed, and they closed and made everyone leave on Sunday 2/18 at 5:00 with only a few hours notice and no options or help finding another place to stay.

Location is excellent, you really can’t go wrong. Our site was quite large and there was nothing behind. Other sites can be more compact. There is no fire wood at the campground, you have to go to Camp Curry or Yosemite Village stores and the prices are very high so bring wood with you. We had a very large group the first night that was loud, although they did quiet down at 10 pm. The second night the ranger came around and must have told them to keep it down because they were very quiet. Bathrooms are relatively clean but no soap. Easy check in and check out.

Enjoy the quiet beauty.

The camp fire pits were the pits and not just our site. Ash was spread and mixed in the soil 30 feet around the fire pit and got all over campers feet & any dogs that sat with their owners got filthy in minutes. The ash fire pits had openings that did not Keep soot contained. Poorly designed & old.

Overall a very good visit: amazing falls, beautiful trails, perfect weather. Bring a bike to explore parts of the park that are less congested. One downside: motor homes use generators that disturb the natural sounds of the mornings as they are permitted to power up starting at 6 am. This bias in favor of motor homes, which insulate their occupants from outside noise, is at the expense of tent campers and the morning calm that every camper ought to be able to enjoy. Most motor home campers are good neighbors but it's easy for them to escape the generator's noise. Our neighbor agreed to postpone firing up their rockets until 8 am, which let the morning start quietly and calmly.

Great campsite. Close to hiking trails, other activities and Yosemite Village & Stores.

All things considered (ie Covid) this was a fabulous experience. Rangers extraordinary, and camping neighbors very nice. I was surprised to find only 2 loops of upper pines open, but was also delighted with the minimal crowds.
