The campsites have food storage, fire pit/grill and a picknick table. Centrally located to a few trails and next to a shuttle stop.

Favorite campground! So beautiful and the sweetest hosts! Just wish they would open up more loops to make more spots avail!

The campgrounds are very well maintain and come with an incredible view. Unfortunately, the campsites are so packed in on top of each other. Make sure to bring firewood with you because the cost of buying it there is outrageous.

The week I spent solo traveling to Yosemite was among the best in my life. I spent three nights at upper pines and then three nights backpacking a route that hit snow creek - mt Watkins - Tenaya lake - mid sunrise lake - clouds rest - little Yosemite valley - half dome - mist trail. Upper pines specifically was an awesome campground. Everyone is respectful and quiet when needed. Beautiful location, not far from the crystal clear Merced. My site was 70 and I found it to be a great location.

I loved upper pines campground. Its close to curry village and the bus stops right outside the campsite. We got camp sight #70. It was smaller than we expected but it was nice. The other campers were friendly and so were the park rangers.

We loved staying at this campground! We stayed for 1 night and booked again for the next available dates. The views are amazing, the location is great and close to many hikes, and the rangers/staff were really helpful and nice. It was also nice that we got to drive down to the village for pizza and back to the campsite. Overall the campground is very clean and amazing. Highly recommend booking here!

Muddy, campsites too close together, noisy generators, etc. We ended up leaving and staying somewhere else that was FF (first come first serve). Only worth it in the summer if we were going to hike in the early morning.

We had an incredible time at the Upper Pines campground. Bathrooms clean and heated, which was great in late October. It's the best time to visit if you luck out with the weather. Next time we would try to stay at a campsite on the outer ring, deeper into the campground if possible.

This is my third time camping in the Valley at Yosemite National Park. On previous occasions I had stayed at the North Pines and Lower pines campgrounds. This time, I stayed at the upper pines campground. If you want to camp with convenience, these campgrounds are the best ones in the park. You can't go wrong with any of them. As well as the Curry camp tent cabins. Curry village has everything you need such as a food court, a general store where you can purchase anything from canned food to toothpaste, to wood for your campfire ($10 per bundle). They also have paid showers for $5 per person. Showers are open 24 hours and are cleaned twice a day. from 10am to 11am and once again from 10pm to 11pm.We were a group of 5 with a 1 year old. So this trip was not about long hikes but rather about relaxation. The weather was rather cold at night (in the mid 20's) so be prepared with the right equipment. A propane tent heater as backup is not a bad idea either. During the day the weather was absolutely perfect (upper 50's) But it really felt like mid to upper 60's and quite comfortable. The only bummer was that the Yosemite fall was completely dry. Which was to be expected since it is fed entirely by snow melt. And the overall water levels are extremely low because of the severe drought that we are experiencing in California. Despite all this. We had a wonderful time. Nothing beats sitting around the camp fire at night staring at the milky way. Leaving is always the hardest part. We'll be back for sure. :)

We loved our stay at Upper Pines! It was great to be able to walk to the trailhead for the Vernal & Nevada Falls hike. The campground definitely packs in quite a few people, but that didn't bother us at all. Would definitely stay again!

If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
