Wonderful campsite, beautiful scenery and the weather for February was exceptional. Hiking the northside of the valley was spring like.

It was hard to find a spot for the dates of our permit for half dome, try to stay alert with the release of spots because it was pretty accesible the day we stay there, hope next time we can save more than one night. Pizza was soooo good and the people that help us were tooo nice

Excellent campground and campsite. You can't beat the proximity to the Valley and Curry Village. Our campsite was just a short walk to Curry Village and multiple shuttle stops. I did have my portable charger stolen while charging in the restroom, which isn't the campground's fault but it's worth noting for future residents.

The camp ground is great however at night from 8p-10p the name "Elmer" was yelled out from various camp sites throughout upper pines to each other... every 1-2 minutes... for 2 hours straight.... all three nights.I really don't get it. It was like water torture.

Lugar incrvel!

Bathrooms were in bad condition. Otherwise, it is Yosemite, which is always lovely.

Lovely campsite! The amenities are bare-bones but get the job done and being walking distance from Curry Village is convenient for any of your needs that may develop. The location is phenomenal - nothing beats waking up and seeing the rock walls of the valley towering over you. It's hard to book a campsite, but I think it may be non-negotiable for us in our future visits to Yosemite.

There was someone who had their tent pitched in our lot. The overnight camp staff was very helpful in getting them moved but it did delay our ability to set up camp for about an hour and a half

Lots of heavy snow. Plows were slow getting through the loops. Volunteer said shovel your way outwhich was impossible!

We had a really nice camping site #64 under the trees. It was exactly what we expected. We were near to the trails and the wonderful valley and could also spent the night there. Real luxury!

I loved the place . The person that is at the entry it was super nice to let us see the campground before we booked it ! My only issue and thats why I give 4 stars is that we dont have a shower or water to refill compared with camp 4 that is more cheap . The place is amazing since you can start right away the valley loop or the way to the Nevada falls but those two things (water and shower ) are necessary , people cant hide on COVID for everything if In other parts of the park are working

Yosemite's Upper Pines campground was great. Experienced rain and a snow storm which was so beautiful. The roads were plowed in the campground as well as the main roads.

Upper Pines was overall a good value but it is kind of run down…time to invest in upgrading the bathrooms. The pads and areas at individual sites also need cleaning/care.

Upper Pines is a great place to camp. The restrooms are clean and the hosts are very friendly.
The Campsites are big and close to the Merced River, which you will enjoy during summer days!
Upper Pines is my favorite place for camping or RVing.

Guests staying at the Pines campgrounds are currently not allowed to use the showers at Curry Village (as of 5/21/21). I am not aware of any other showers available. When we approached the shower entrance there was an attendant who said only people staying at Curry Village were allowed in, and asked to see our key. When we said we are camping at Upper Pines and asked why other guests could shower but we could not, he said "Well, they're paying a lot more than you are to be here." When I said I had just gotten back from a 16-mile hike and was sweaty and dirty, he said I could go jump in the river.

That was the most negative part of our stay. Otherwise we enjoyed everything about the campground. Hopefully the shower restriction will not be in place much longer, but if you are planning a longer stay, be prepared to either not have shower access or maybe sneak in when there isn't an attendant there.

Great campground right in the valley! Campsites are pretty close to one another, but it wasn't an issue for us. Volunteers and rangers who came by were friendly and helpful.
