The campsites are a bit cramped, but they offer some shade thanks to the many tall pine trees. The campground is mostly in pretty good shape and can accommodate most long RV and trailers. There's sufficient trash bins for disposals. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

we were packed in like sardines but thankful that staying in campsites so close to other campsites allowed us to experience the wonder of Yosemite Valley.

Lovely hosts, great campsite in the middle of Yosemite valley. Facilities clean. Short walk to curry village for shops/dinner. Would stay again.

We loved our stay at Upper Pines. Was low season so not very busy and easy to get around.

Had two nice days in the park and campground. Showers rather far away and a lot of smoke in the campground. Had to close all windows.

Campsite was beautiful. But restrooms did not offer soap and wastewater disposal was disgusting

Best location in the valley. Easy to find our spot, plenty of space, and absolutely stunning scenery. The fill/dump station was also convenient and easy to use

Lovely campground with big pines. Restrooms are a bit outdated.

Stayed here many may times. Always nice! I do wish the cafeteria at Curry Village was open for dinner for times you don't want pizza.

It was a great experience as we have two small children. Bicycle trails are very accessible and can take you to quite a few destinations in the valley. There were easy and beautiful trails for small children as well.

Great location and clean place. Note that when we went there were limited women's bathrooms open for some reason.

Site 63 is a level site, easy to back into. Upper Pines is a regular and favorite destination. We hike as many trails as possible and always use the shuttle system
to visit the Ahwahnee and Yosemite Village. Being Winter, Curry Village only had the market and climbing shop open.
For winter camping, be sure to wear some
Sort of shoe traction device (we use YakTrax); it makes for safer walking/hiking as well as makes trails more accessible.
Great snowshoeing this year too!!

The sites are extremely close together, and just like with any campground, there are always noisy, inconsiderate people making noise in the quiet period. The shocking thing is that there are camp hosts, but they don't get involved unless a complaint has been made. In any time other than winter, this campground is probably hell, but I was there in winter. The campground was full, but the crowd was a different crowd than normal. Yes, there were still inconsiderate, noisy people, but even they settled down about 1.5 hours after quiet hours started. Unlike most people, who want all the normal distractions as they have at home - music, loud talking, screaming, etc. I don't get it, why go to nature then??? Anyway, since it was winter, the campground was pretty good for a public campground in an extremely popular place.
