Stayed at Upper Pines in Yosemite, had a great time. The neighbors were actually respectful and kept things quiet at night (which feels like winning the camping lottery). The bathrooms were clean, which I really appreciated. And the views its Yosemite, so yeah, you kind of cant complain. Waking up to that never gets old. Would definitely stay here again.

Good site, level pad side to side. 16ft travel trailer and full size truck fit no problem. Easy to pull past and back into. Lots of tree cover makes good shade, blocks all light for solar. Open space in the trees approx 50ft behind the site for allows for partially blocked Starlink signal. The dumpster is right next to this site, so expect early morning and late night trash run sounds. Doesn't puddle during high rain events. I would grab this site again if available.

Never a bad day in Yosemite. My cetero censeo: Ban generators from Yosemite campgrounds. Not needed and demand is sufficiently high that one doesn't cater to the generator crowd.

Upper Pines is a very large campground and some sites are better than others. We don't spend much time in camp so as long as we have a place to sleep and eat we are very happy. We headed up the trail to Nevada Falls, and it turned out that the trail was closed above Clark's View point. Would have been nice to know in advance so check what is happening there so find out iwhat is happening with the rock fall danger. The walk along the John Muir trail is wonderful, so just doing that was great. There IS a rough trail around the far side of Mirror Lake, so if you are able bodied and like to hike with obstacles, this is a great walk. Have fun, there is SO much to do in the valley, as long as it is not too hot.

Everything was great beginning with the super cool ranger at check-in. I was there to photograph the horse tail fall phenomena at the very end of its time, and the ranger took extra special care to explain everything to me. As far as the experience in the campground is concerned, no problems. No noise issues. I was able to capture the photo I wanted on the last day it would be available, which was fortunate because there was a huge storm coming in and they were going to be closing the campground of next day for safety reasons. Cant be too careful with Mother Nature.

Yosemite is beautiful! The campground is well kept and safe. As fire's are allowed at night it gets quite smoky though.

Incredibly nice and helpful park staff and rangers, combined with the very last campground we could book made a unique fall experience in Yosemite.

Only negative is the campsites are so close. The ones on the edges are better

Stayed at Upper Pines for a couple of days at the end of March. Campsite and bathrooms were neat and clean and camp hosts were friendly. Campsites can be a bit cramped in some areas but it was comfortable and everyone was polite. However I cannot say the same of the ravens, they were very opportunistic and took any chance to rifle through our camp for treasure. I highly recommend being strict with your food and goods in the provided bear box on site. I am looking forward to coming back in April!

There should be clarifying instructions for food storage being allowed in hard sided RVs/camper vans. We were given a handout that said all food should be stored in a bear locker and didn't list any exceptions for RVs.

It was amazing campground, wonderful service and extremely clean bathrooms and grounds. Because the campsite was at 30 percent capacity, we had plenty of space and privacy. On site 54 we had views of half dome from our tent. Rangers are active and patrolling in case food is left out or people are too loud. Can’t wait to stay here again!

Site has shade. Just be ware that it as an end spot, so cars driving in at night will light up the area a little bit.
