Everything was good. The staff was courteous. Bathrooms were clean. My only complaint was that the people camping next to us set there generator closest to our campsite. They did respect generator hours . And they never came outside! I know there is nothing you can do.

I arrived late at night and as soon as I arrived, I went to the entrance check-in booth, wrote my name and site in check in book , went in, pitched my tent, woke up in the morning and went on my trip. When I came back in the afternoon, there was a paper saying that I need to check-in before 4pm. However it was not possible. It was already past 4 o'clock and no one at the check-in booth. I thought my reservation was canceled and from then until the next morning, I couldn't enjoy my vacation at all because someone might show up. If someone shows up, I have to move my food from bear lock and my tent and car. I didn't know where to go late at night when someone showed up. If I had at least a contact number where I could contact them in this case, my family and friends would have been able to enjoy their vacation without being anxious. It's such a shame. I wonder why they asked me to write it at the entrance my camp site and my personal information if it wasn't for check-in.

Drainage could be improved as large and deep puddles were formed at campsites, flooding some tents. I also think that the National Park Service needs to rehire its employees who were laid off to ensure the safety of its guests and staff as well as for the longevity of the Parks for future generations to come.

Great site! Is located really close to the restroom which was very with each flush. Site was flat and had multiple locations to pitch up a tent of multiple sizes. Nice beatbox with ample space. And more then enough space to park a large truck or even an RV

Close to the entrance but however best location are on the side. Campground was full but you do not feel crowded.

Great location! Spots are bit tight, but you kinda forget about that when you see the giant granite monsters surrounding you along with the beautiful greenery. River runs right by the site & a huge relief of the heat! Kids loved it. Do not go to Yosemite without bikes!! Necessary so you don’t wait in the endless lines for the 4 shuttles hustling ppl around. Parking is terrible, too! Bikes came in clutch!

We camped in the month of January. The campsite was covered in snow. Very clean and serene place. The restrooms were heated. We could park our cars next to.our site. It was helpful. Upper pines is has a shuttle stop, hence easy to navigate.

I stayed in Upper Pines Campground the week following Thanksgiving. I was in a hard sided camper so the bears did not bother me at night, however hiking around the valley floor by myself was difficult due to re-routeing around active bears every mile or so. This isn't a complaint, but noteworthy to all the solo hikers out there who are trying to avoid crowds without going deep into the backcountry.

Great campground, great time to come. Snow on the ground but blue skies our whole stay. No crowds.

One of the best campgrounds we've stayed at. It's in an excellent area, and far back from the large Yosemite crowds. Not a lot of traffic. The camp hosts were very friendly and informative. The bathrooms were as clean as it gets at a campground. The only reason I didn't rate this 5 stars is because our site, 217, and the site next to ours 219, were practically on top of each other and it was hard to set up camp without breathing down our neighbors neck. Thankfully, we had 5 nights there, and our neighbors came and went. There are no showers, you can purchase a shower for $5 at Curry Village (which we did, there is no way we can camp 5 nights without at least one shower!). There is a place to dump your water at the bathrooms. Dumping at the campsite is highly discouraged. And bears are very active, so everything scented must be kept in the bear box almost always or kept within arms length. Kinda annoying but, it's understandable and necessary.

The bathrooms could have been kept up with better but other than that, staying in Upper Pines was beautiful this time of year. The neighbors were all nice and the views were spectacular. 1-3 bars of Verizon depending on where you stand and 3-4 bars of at&t in certain parts of the campground. We work remote and need signal so we moved around to couple of lots throughout the Valley to get better service for the work day and would come back to camp in the evening to make dinner and have a fire. Roads in the camp were completely iced over but I didn't see a need for chains, just be careful. It was recommended we bring a shovel for snow. We personally didn't end up needing it but we did see others who needed to shovel out a place in the snow for their tents. PACK IT IN PACK IT OUT. I did find quite a bit of trash scattered about our site when we arrived. Possibly it was hiding under the snow. The campsite is well equip with dumpsters. Everyone should take care of this beautiful place by triple checking their site before they leave for any trash that may have gotten loose. This helps everyone!

nothing special about the campsite; the biggest problem was checking in; it took me over 1/2 hour with only 4 cars in front of me and this was early afternoon; then I left the site and came back late afternoon and it took me over an hour to get back through the gate again, not a very sensible way to do things

The camp hosts and rangers were excellent! The campground and facilities were well maintained. The lack of crowds due to the ticketed limited entrance was incredible!! Please do this forever... The controlled fire burns within the valley the week before Memorial Day weekend was irresponsible and borders on criminal. The air quality in the valley reached hazardous levels and it is yet to be seen if that poor judgment decision killed or seriously hurt visitors with asthma or COPD conditions. Overkill on COVID-19 and then do this?? What were you thinking? I am not saying these burns should not be done. I am saying that you cannot mix recreational visitors and hazardous air quality levels. Close the park if you must do burns. But please stop being irresponsible with people's health.

Unfortunately Mist Trail was still closed and sections of John Muir Trail were slippery from compact snow on 3/16. This week ( 3/23-24) hiked to upper Yosemite Fall and beyond Yosemite Point with great view of Half Dome and Clouds Rest. Except for couple sections were snow accumulated the trail was free of snow. At top of Upper Fall there was ~ 1 foot of snow.

It should be posted that visitors should bring water. The only available water was in the bathroom sinks. The faucet was to low for our coffee pot. The men's bathroom had one toilet which created long morning lines. Information for the shuttle was very difficult to find. Most of the bathrooms in Curry Village were closed and locked. To many generators running most of the time.

Always love going to Yosemite, just wish it were easier to get reservations, especially for seniors.
