Wonderfully kind and informative park rangers and camp host. Sites are a bit cramped but almost everyone around me behaved. Only sites up to 97 of upper pines campground were open this time of year. The loop is closest to the entrance and you can walk to the park shuttles. Pay attention to the site map as most spots are for just 1 vehicle if you want to camp in a group, and short if you have an RV or trailer. I didnt use the restrooms or showers. There is a spot to RV dump and fill water. This was free when I was there (FEB) but it was clearly being renovated so might be pay in future.

Great location, but came to leave a review just to warn folks that I think since the last reviews a tree or two have been removed from this site leaving it completely in the sun including the Bear box. In the summer it was unbearably hot we had to vacate during peak heat hours so bring tents and umbrellas! Still beautiful though just advise being prepared by bringing shade especially for your food in the bear box!!

No trees suitable for a hammock (unless you have super long straps). The back opens into a wide open common area that seems to be open if you need a bit extra tent room. We fit 3 tents easily. Great location for the mist trail & for good granite vibes.

As an EV owner I am impressed with the number of charging options. However, for those of us camping near or in the Curry Village area it would be nice if there were a few in the Curry Village parking lot which is much closer to the Upper/Lower Pines campgrounds.

Great staff working during our stay. Nice level sites for tent camping. Nothing beats waking up beneath Glacier Point!!

Camping at the foot of Glacier Point, within walking distance of the base of Half Dome and the trailhead to Nevada and Vernal Falls. What's not to like? And for those who worry about such stuff, we even had a tiny bit of cell service here from T-mobile.

Beautiful campground, close to the river, Curry Village, view of Half Dome. Lots of trees which is great for shade in the summer, but if youre relying on sun for your solar, it likely wont happen. Our battery died after 4 night, and were pretty conservative with battery usage.

Once In A Lifetime Experience- worth the reservation hassleBring bikes for everyone, best way to get around valley and safer with many fewer carsNo big crowds- even over 4th of July weekend- this meant easy & fast dump and water refill whenever needed. We avoided popular trails.Merced was too low to raft far- but still fun & very cold. BYO raft and pumpTwo food trucks at Curry VillageWe brought all our own food to avoid any areas where people gatheredRangers and visitors were friendly and less stressed with lower crowdsSome folks still walked through campgrounds; not a big problemUsing our small RV we were able to:* park near meadows at dusk to see plenty of deer and bears- most day visitors were gone by evening time* only used our rv kitchen and bathroom for Covid-19 safety* Classic Tunnel View had parking and small crowds, easy park and exit* Driving from Orange County was still a 7 hour drive; but more relaxed with little/no traffic, wow

Bathrooms are in major need of updating. Cleanliness was also average at best.

I love Yosemite. And while it can get extremely crowded during the Summer, Upper Pines is a great place to camp for a few days. Very quiet, spacious. Water works, bathrooms are about as clean as can be expected when operating at full capacity all summer.
