Great spot, clean, and easy access to the restrooms. Very scenic and walkable to popular hikes.

This particular site was a bit small, but it did the job. The restroom was clean and stocked with toilet paper. It's within walking distance of 2 tram stops, so it's very convenient. It's also within walking distance to Curry Village in case you need something from the store.

Site 031 Double wide drive slightly flooded when we arrived. Drained by the next day even though it was raining through the night. Under the tree canopy so partially shaded. Good site overall, fairly level with a slight slope toward the rear. large barrier prevents you from backing deeper into the site. Park was clean in spite of limited staffing. Camp Hosts friendly and welcoming.

January is cold but very uncrowded. Campground is near the bus stops and curry village. But the websites are wrong. The restaurants in curry (and most of the rest of the park) are only open fri-sun.

We loved our experience at Upper Pines under Half-Dome. It was so beautiful and very convenient to get to key locations in the Valley via bikes, walking or shuttle buses. The staff was super friendly and helpful, the bathrooms clean, ample water refill stations. Highly recommend!

AMAZING setting. Camp sites were close together. The bathrooms were clean and the camp was in such a great location to catch a shuttle or to wake up at the base of half dome. Saw woodpeckers, deer, and a coyote all in our brief two-night stay.

Stayed during heavy rain. There was no high ground to tent. Majority of car pads had 3-6" of standing water, and the restrooms in loop 1 were impossible to reach without walking through other campsites nor without walking through at least 4" of moving or standing water. Saying that I managed and enjoyed my stay, until the bear patrol ranger yelled at me on the one clear morning that I was not parked in the submerged car pad as I was packing. Neither the camp host, nor law enforcement patrols that morning seemed concerned. I see opportunities to improve winter accessibility, and a little more understanding for parking challenges for placcard users.

Make sure to bring micro spikes in winter as roads in campground get icy and very slippery.

Great spot and very close to the bathroom (though you can hear it at night and very loud flushing) as well as close to shuttle stop #15. Easy to find. Only annoying part is the very loud group talking very loudly during quiet hours.

I really enjoyed this two night tent camping experience with my two dogs at Upper Pines Campground. The camp employees and host were very helpful and friendly. I was able to visit and watch the evening sun light up Horsetail Falls. I parked at the Yosemite Falls parking west of the Lodge and walked the 1.5 miles there and back on the road lane blocked off for pedestrians. Walking back, we were treated to full moon rise above Half Dome. It was like a bonus. This was a great experience.

Park staff very friendly, campgrounds were very neat and clean. Same with campsite. Easy to get around, and the creek was great to put your feet in and cool off. I would highly recommend staying in this campgrounds.

During our 5 nights at Yosemite, we stayed in the Upper Pines Campground 3 nights... in 3 different campsites. Due to the competition in the reservation process, we could not secure a campsite for the Friday and Saturday nights and ended up staying in the tents at Curry Village. The reservation process was very frustrating, as we have tried 3 different times over the course of two years to get "a" campsite at Yosemite. Fortunately, on this trip we were using a rented campervan, so moving to a different site each day wasn't a problem for us. I think it would be very frustrating for tent campers to have to pack up each day and move to a different site. It would be nice to know the "magic" necessary to secure a single campsite for an entire trip. The campground was clean and surprisingly quiet, although a cold spell probably has something to do with the minimal evening activity and noise, as it wasn't very comfortable to sit outside with temps in the 30's. The bathrooms were cleaned daily. From Upper Pines, we had good access to the John Muir Trail, Mist Trail, and Half-Dome Trail (all the same trailhead). There was also a nice leisurely hike around the campround (Happy Isles Trail). The Mirror Lake trail was also a short walk from the campground. The shops and food at Curry Village was a very short drive away, as was the evening (clear sky) sunset on Half-Dome. The shuttle service was not operating while we were there. North Pine and Lower PIne were also open and had similar campsites and amenities. There is a lot to see in Yosemite and we were excited to finally get there!

Very flat usable area sites. Ground is dirt covered with dry pine needles. Ample trees throughout. Plenty of bathrooms that are clean. It was surprisingly quiet even before quiet hours 10pm. Bring bikes! Great time riding around the valley.
