Great site with easy access to Happy Isles and Curry Village from the back of the site. Two trees just right to hang a hammock.

We love camping in Yosemite, and have always done Upper Pines campground. This site was tough to fit our 19 foot trailer and our tow vehicle, but we made it work. Bathrooms have heat and TP, but no soap. Campground was clean and not too crowded.

The camp attendant was extremely hospitable and informative that made us feel they authentically was truly helpful. We did the wanted to see Vernal falls but the shortest route was closed for winter so we ended up going to Nevada Falls. The trek was challenging but we were awarded with the absence of the crowds of the peak season. The one downside was that camp fire smoke seemed to hang around in the air throughout the day as it was really cold.Otherwise if you dont want it o deal with the crowds , going in winter is the way to go!

I loved the yosemite national park, and the upper Pines Campground is in a perfect position to do activities such as hikes, etc.Flush Toilets are clean, the campsite has a nice feeling of being in the nature and is situated next to the river which is nice for a cold plunge after a hiking day.The Rangers are nice and helpful. What I did not like was that the nearest restroom was out of order so there were chemical toilets. Also the people next to our spot used power generators literally every morning and evening which destroyed the relaxing atmosphere. But overall I would love to come back to yosemite and upper Pines.

Had a great experience at upper pines. There was plenty of room for our tent and there was a table and fire pit available as well. I highly recommend and will be back!

For the first time in 20 years, rangers and camp ground hosts were nice and kind! It's amazing, please continue to reward and encourage this behavior. Ahwahnee waiter was amazing too!!

Always enjoyable....special thanks to North Pines campground host Rusty and Park Ranger Aaron for their patience, information and taking web site instruction...😬
FYI:
If you’re walking to Mirror Lake...do it in the morning, before the wind blurs out the reflection.

Loved getting out in the snow! A prior camper had even shoveled the area of the campfire before we arrived which was a nice touch.

We enjoyed the fresh air, beautiful landscapes, hikes to Verdana Falls, and the camping overnight in RV for 3 days. The free dumping station worked well. The staff at the gates were very courteous and helped us our day to day of planning what to see. My and my son 12 years old enjoyed biking every day going around the loop from the Upper Pines to Yosemite falls parking lot and then through the Swinging bridge to the other side of the loop.
