We camp in upper pines campground year after year and this will be our last year. Yosemite is happy to take our money for the camp site but they wont invest in the upkeep of the campground. The roads are in shambles, the blacktop at each campsite is broken up and lifted by the roots and drainage in the campground is awful. Our campsite flooded along with many many others and I had to dig a canal for the water to drain out of the space. This is taxation without representation and we are fed up with it.

We stayed at Upper Pines Campground in October, and it was an amazing experience! The fall colors were absolutely stunning - trees turning orange and red everywhere. It did get pretty cold at night, so we ended up sleeping in our Tesla Model Y instead of a tent, but it was totally worth it. A peaceful night under the stars before exploring Yosemite the next day - unforgettable!

Stayed at site 69 and site 19 on two separate occasions. Both offer great view of the mountains with some tree coverage. Both sites spacious and convenient access to the restroom; site 69 was somewhat secluded and quieter; site 19 felt a bit closer to the neighbors and it is close to the road so there constant noise of car passing but that wasn't too annoying to us.

The camp hosts were marvelous. My reserved site had a broken bear box and the camp hosts made my move to another site easy and stress free. I also loved the heated bathroom, it was perfect for cool December nights.

Winter in Yosemite is always a snowy treat. Peaceful and quiet everywhere. Most of the trails that were open were very exceptional and led to breath taking sights.

We have stayed here twice now and love this campground. Clean and well maintained. The views are gorgeous and nearby to the hiking trails and Curry Camp.

Upper Pine Campground exceeded my expectations. All the restrooms are flush toilet, very clean and have water. I can smell bleach in the morning, indicating park staff just did a sanitation job. This is really great. Also there is power outlet in the bathroom enough for two chargers, something I did not expect at all.The camping sites are clean. Instructions are clear. The bear boxes are lockable. It is a bit inconvenient to get firewood though. You would have to go to Curry Village store to buy and bring it your self. This thing is a bit heavy so you would have to carry the firewood box to your car depending how close you can get a parking spot in the village.

The campsite was between two RV's with loud generators making it less than desirable. Yosemite is breathtakingly beautiful and generators shouldn't be allowed to be used in the quiet beauty of the Park especially before 8 am.

This was my first visit to Yosemite and it was better than I had hoped for! We followed a snow storm into the valley and got to experience the park and all of its beautiful features blanketed in snow! It was very cold at night, but well worth it. A pleasant surprise for me was the heated restrooms.

Upper Pines is a great spot to camp, with amazing views of Glacier Peak, Half Dome and Yosemite Falls. Happy Isles and Mirror Lake are within walking distance. Fire rings and bear boxes are provided for each campsite.

What more can you ask for? Camping in Yosemite Valley, below Half Dome and Glacier Point. You're within walking distance to some great hikes. Or you can hop on the shuttle and leave your car at the campground. You simply cannot go wrong camping in the valley. My only quarrel is I wish the campsites were just a bit more spread out.
