Reserved this spot multiple times because of its quick access to entrance. The backyard has no neighbors and easy walk across the street to restrooms. Spot was clean and ample size to play and hold tents. See ya next year.

Great place to stay! Surrounded by Granite, and half dome. The views were outstanding waking, and going to bed!

Yosemite has a fantastic natural environment all its own. I think it is the perfect place for a once-in-a-lifetime family trip.

Site is really nice and weve stayed in it before during the summer. There is plenty of space and good shade when its hot. However when it receives any significant amount of rain/snow the entire site floods. We were able to tell where previous flooding had happened so we set up our tent in the highest place possible, but still had to pack in a rush and leave a day early because our tent almost flooded. All of the water from the road drains down to the back of the site and settles there

For such a beautiful place Yosemite campgrounds are third grade unfortunately. The bathrooms are a disgrace. The RV spots too close and the YURTS would make anyone sick with the mildew. Campgrounds need to be gutted and rebuild.

I realize that bathroom remodel is necessary but the temporary toilets were not serviced and full to capacity. No excuse for that.

The campsite needed to be cleaned, A lot of little pieces for scrapes/paper were scattered all over. It was probably due to crows? Also, we found dog poop around our site.

NPS cancelled our 4th day reservation while we were hiking trails. We were left with no place to sleep. They claimed there will be 70mph winds. We slept in our vehicle on one of the parking lots. It rained, but not a blow of wind. The people making these decisions at Yosemite are inept fools!

great campground. But the first night during my stay, which is the first day of the Thanksgiving, a bunch of idiots played music loudly until 2 am!!! They also laugh and shout in a high volume. I want to call the rangers but found out the only call I can make is 911. I hope there is a way to let the rangers stop the loud makers.

Beautiful Campground! From my site I could see The top of Half Dome (site 015) helpful, courteous, friendly Rangers and Camp Hosts.

A friendly and helpful Ranger staff upon entering this beautiful campground nestled in Yosemite Valley. We were so lucky to reserve a spot with a view of Half Dome. Always an excellent experience.

Overall, a nice campground in an amazing location. Come here for the views and convenience of being in the most sought after National park in the country. Don’t expect perfect camp sites that are level and well appointed. Our picnic table had some broken boards and the bathrooms were better than nothing but that’s to be expected at a very inexpensive, dry campsite. You will be close to your neighbors and there are around 200 sites in upper pines alone so don’t expect too much peace and tranquility here. That said, still recommend camping here if you can for convenient access to trails. Day hikers have trouble finding parking but you can just stay parked at your site and walk or bike to trailheads. in the valley.

Went to see the Firefall. It was amazing but very crowded and impossible to find parking if you arrive after 3pm. The campground was very convenient. The campsite itself was covered in snow but the parking spot was clear so luckily we were able to park our converted minivan and enjoy the gorgeous views. The restrooms were very clean. Winter in Yosemite was spectacular. Will definitely be back if we can get reservations.
