Stayed here just one night before moving over to North Pines for the rest of our 7 night stay. We scored this spot a few days before our main reservation after someone cancelled. Loved the location of the campsite, as well as the campground. Weve stayed at this campground before and love the location. Our reservation was on Friday night and we got in around 9:30. Quiet hours start at 10 PM, but it was extremely quiet when we arrived. This campsite is spacious and not super close to other campsites.

Location is unbeatable. If youre lucky enough to get a spot here, youre right at the base of the Mist and John Muir Trail. Also walking distance to the creek and Curry Village. Bathrooms were clean and it was an added bonus that they flush.

Site 093 was wide enough to park two trucks next to each other. The grassy area wasn't perfectly level, but there were enough level spots to support tents if needed. It had a lot of shade cover. Very close to restrooms.

Had an amazing 3 night stay! Campground was impeccably clean. Restrooms well stocked and clean as well. Was happy to have a dump station and potable water nearby too.

Always a great camping spot. Only thing that could be an issue is ponds of water in certain spots. Restrooms are clean and have light sensors, close to mist falls trail

An imperfect view of Half Dome! Very spacious for two tents and two cars parked side-by-side. Close to the toilet and the main road into the campground so expect a lot of traffic and light. This can actually dampen the stargazing experience (at least for me). Otherwise, relatively perfect! The view makes up for any shortcomings.

Upper Pines was such a nice spot to camp in terms of being quite central for a lot of trails and being close to the village. The campsite was maintained very well with incredibly nice hosts who very clearly cared a lot about the park. The campsite was left in a clean ready-to-move-in manner with a bear cache, picnic table, campfire pit and parking spot. Lovely spot and really enjoyed our time there :)

We camped at Upper Pines in February to see the Firefall. The campground was lovely, the rangers were all friendly and helpful and (of course) Yosemite is beautiful We cant wait to come back soon

Our stay was great, during the winter be sure you take your chains as they are required. We were asked to leave by the Forest Rangers due to a big storm moving in. They said if we didnt want to be snowed in it was better to leave.

This site was great. Very big with lots of options for several tents.

For a big campground filled to capacity I was surprised to have a very pleasant experience (was expecting more noise and general, annoyances). Maybe because it was January with short days and freezing cold temperatures people were pretty mellow gathering around their campfires and snuggling in their tents relatively early. It was nice to have flushing toilets, but they could use an update. You have to hold open the water saving faucet handles (they spring closed the moment you take your hand off them) to keep them running. This doesn't facilitate properly soaping and washing up your hands... not great during "Life in the time of Corona" and just for general hygiene purposes. Soap, paper towels, or a hand dryer are not provided. Luckily, I was prepared with my own supplies. They could use a tidying up with more frequency, however, they weren't totally disgusting for public toilets. I had read in the reviews that a truck would be coming around to sell firewood and ice. That was not the case during winter time. The rangers told me I could buy firewood at the store at Curry Village, which was about a 3-minute drive away. On a Sunday evening after a long hike I went over to get some firewood, and the store was closed. It was only about 4:00, and I couldn't see any signs with hours, so possibly the store is closed or maybe it closes early on Sundays, so be aware of that. Luckily I had my Solo Stove, and I was able to use that for a little bit of warmth on a cold night while I was eating my dinner. The described bathroom and firewood situations is why I dinged my rating one star. The employees working the entrance kiosk were both friendly and helpful. I appreciated that.

My stay in early November was perfect. Spaces were not as close as I thought they would be from reading other reviews. I stayed at an end site that was close to the restroom and very spacious. It was very quiet the entire day and night. Restrooms were clean. Only con is the water bottle fill station was not working.

This campground is well located in the valley, within walking distance of many attractions - Yosemite Falls, the Village, the hike to Vernal and Nevada Falls, the Valley Loop Trail, the historic Ahwahnee Hotel and more. The campground has lots of restrooms, lovely campground hosts, and reasonably sized campsites. It is frustrating that management closes loops of this campground, and both of the other valley campground, for the winter, resulting in this campground being packed full every night. We had to go online daily and pick up a site from a cancellation since we didn't plan the trip ahead. All reservations have to be made online; no walk-ins anymore. I sure wish they would keep more camping options open in the Valley!

Quiet, fairly spacious site. Clean. Checking in in Curry parking lot was fine other than distant from the site.

Site 93 was excellent. It was near a clean bathroom and had plenty of room . Central to many hikes and the Merced river and Camp Curry facilities.

Upper Pines may be the worst of the Yosemite campsites since they really pack you in there like sardines. Of course, the location within the park is excellent, but unless you get an outer edge campsite, you're going to be in all of your neighbors conversations once you hit the campfire or the dinner table. I also happened to be next to the entrance road, so I was able to hear all the late night comers and early leavers driving by. Other than that, the facilities are excellent and everything was clean and well maintained.

Campground is in a great centralized location. It is within walking distance of Half Dome / Curry Village. The problem is that every food place was closed except for the two markets due to the Norovirus outbreak. That was very disappointing.
