If you like crowds, shuttle busses, and camping right on top of your neighbor this is the place for you. On a positive note, a camping reservation got you access to the park and a dedicated parking spot at the camp site (which otherwise is impossible to find). I've been to many national parks and have never experienced so many people especially in the Yosemite village area. The "attractions" were ok but also always crowded and therefore not as enjoyable as they could be. The bathrooms were ok but despite running water were not as clean as vault toilets at most other parks. Overall I was pretty disappointed in the entire Yosemite experience.

Best way to enjoy the Valley is on a bike. You can get solitude in a few minutes. The paved trails are mostly flat and go through glorious areas. A great and quiet ride is the loop around Upper Pines campground, a short bit up the road to Mirror Lake, then turn left on the bike path leading to Yosemite Village, Falls, and beyond. In the Upper Pines its best to avoid the inside of loops, as those sites are tight and crowded. Also, the only drag was the air hand dryers in the restrooms did not work. All of them dead. I wish NPS would fix that.Otherwise, glorious Yosemite!

Campground was great very spacious and close to the curry showers, but the campground needs to enforce quiet time We had noisy neighbors, and the restrooms were a little dirty the entire time.

Can never go wrong in Yosemite! We recently stayed in winter. While it is cold, there are no crowds and the park is beautiful in all seasons. Campground is great with friendly staff.

Free hot showers provided with shampoo and body wash and towels at curry village. Great amenities and clean bathroom. Loved the free on and off shuttle to various sites.

We camped during one of the great snowstorms of January, 2023. If you have all the proper gear, 4-wheel drive, chains, trailer brakes, and shovels, it's the best time of the year to visit. It was well below freezing, day and night, the whole time we were there. Every surface was frosted with fresh snow. All the animals were out, too. Most of the buildings were closed for refurbishment, but we were there for hiking. You have to dig out your own campsite, which was fine. We had a blast.

The rangers who greeted us and staffed the check-in booth were very knowledgeable, they helped us determine which trails would be open/suitable for spring hiking amid snowy and icy conditions. They also directed us to naturalist talks hosted by the Yosemite Conservancy. No complaints, even with reservations being difficult!

Came to see the Horsetail Falls and were disappointed again as the weather has been dry for the past 2 months. No rain means no water in that fall. But there was plenty of water in the other falls. Still we had a GREAT time as always.
Well organized , Clean, Quiet The booking system and notification manages well the expectation. I booked a couple of months prior to my stay but had last minute changes due to flight dates. I was able to manage the changes but it seems many people book in advance and only in the last days prior their stay decide finally whether to come or not, I saw sites becoming available 2-3 days before the due date
Only stayed one night since our main campsite was set up in Mammoth Lakes and didn't want to make the long drive twice in one day. Campsites are close together but like everyone says, the views are insane and it's really worth it just for that. Restrooms were clean, lots of water around to dip in (but careful because it's. so. cold. lol)

This campground is perfect for its proximity to the Happy Isles trailhead if you want to go hiking. We had a wonderful time here in beautiful yosemite.
Going in February was always going to be a risk when it comes to snow. Lots of snow on the ground but other than that everything was perfect. Almost no cell service at the site. Bathrooms were clean and roads were plowed. We just had to dig out places for our tents, picnic table and fire pit. Overall it was an amazing experience and will go back.

I will never understand why so many sites are vacant and we cant get a reservation. This is not about the Coronavirus. This is a chronic problem. Something needs to be done about the reservation system.

A crowded campground wich we visited in october 2019. The reservation methods are somewhat exerated. The campground was situated in the hart of the Yosemite Park. That was the good thing. But we liked Wawoona better. The staff was very helpful and friendly!! We would not go through the complicated reservation making again. We would choose another more quier place to stay.

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
