Major Issues

I rated this campground 5 stars. However, there are those who didn't give a $hit about speed limit at the campground and the surrounding roads. There are speed limit signs posted everywhere and these ba$tards seem not to care. Also, there are those thinking that their moms would be there to pick up trash for them. These A$$holes leave their trash in the restroom and by their vehicle. Clearly, these a$$holes didn't read the yellow paper or don't understand it. It takes all of us to keep fellow campers safe and also large/dangerous animals away from the campground. These a$$holes didn't give a $hit about Stop signs or no parking area. I wish Park Rangers would issue tickets instead of a warning when these a$$holes parked illegally. A warning doesn't do $hit and the vicious cycle continues. ALL campers and visitors must adhere to road signs and respect the rules/law. Do better A$$holes!!

Broken toilets, broken water faucet, dried up thorny weed all around many campsites. Not the upper pines I know for so long. Badly deteriorated.

Beautiful campground in the trees, and very quiet. We took the shuttle around to see some of the sights and the most spectacular view are at Glacier Point, which you need to drive your own vehicle there (7,000 feet) and looking at all the majestic rock formations, as well as looking down at the Valley floor. We were disappointed that the Awahnee dining room was closed for remodeling and there was a lot of construction happening to some of the roadways throughout the valley. Most distressing was the controlled burning in areas. I suppose this is a necessary precautionary endeavor, driving through that area to get to Glacier Point and also driving through that area to get out of the Valley towards Mariposa was very smokey and bothered our allergies, as well as vision.

Classic shaded, tightly packed campground at the literal end of the road in Yosemite Valley. There's very little privacy and things can get noisy, but the location cannot be beat.

We were fortunate to get a last minute campsite here. Its busy for sure but everyone was respectful of quiet hours. Bathrooms were clean. Close to the Mist Trail.

At this time of the year, not much sites are open, quiet, we like it very much. Snow are removed on site parking area, but still have snow around picnic table, luckily we only need the site parking, having our own folding table for cooking. Path to restroom has some icy spot. Overall like our stay, love Yosemite!

Campground was in great condition despite heavy snow cover. The staff was friendly and very helpful answering questions and providing information.

We showed up at night and found our site easily. The next morning a very nice ranger came by to check us in and answer our questions. Our site was snowed in due to a storm a few days before, but we settled in quickly. The bathroom was close and fairly clean, but lacked any hand sanitizer. There was a picnic table and a fire ring. The site was surrounded by tall pines and had an obscured view of half dome. The ravens were plenty and very bold, and we even saw a pileated woodpecker. Overall it was very quiet at night and the other campers were friendly and helped each other when needed. It was a great place to stay!

Yosemite never disappoints! Volunteers at campground were terrific; knowledgeable and very helpful. Only criticism is booking. Even with strict compliance to time, date of advanced booking, we had to make 3 separate reservations. In order to only move once, we had to cancel and re-book a site, taking a financial penalty. We’ve been coming to Yosemite for over 30 years and it shouldn’t be this difficult. I think the reservation system needs work. Other than that, we are happy with the camping experience and we will continue with our yearly excursion.

The campground is an excellent location right by the village. We biked with a toddler from the site to the village, the Falls, Swinging Bridge, etc. The staff were super nice as well. The only thing we didnt like was how close you are to others campers and there are no trees or privacy.

Probably one of the best campgrounds I have ever camped at. You cannot go wrong with the picturesque national park surrounding you and extensive hiking trails. Also the shuttle service is very convenient!

Would totally recommend Yosemite!! It's a place full of life's experiences with nature. Our campsite was amazing & well kept. We've been going for over 20 years and will continue exploring this beautiful piece of land set aside for everyone to enjoy.
