It was my first time visiting Yosemite. I had two sites for two nights. This was the first one and site 18 was a wonderful space for me. Close to the entrance and to the restroom. Open area, no shade but I enjoyed that. Maybe I wouldn't have if it was warmer. No, it wasn't very private but as I was a first time camper alone, I enjoyed having people around. Nice neighbors across from me. Would love to camp in this spot again. Don't forget to look up and around. Great views.

An excellent well maintained designated campground. Noise control is excellent after 10pm.

Our stay is great, even though campsites are close to each other, people are respectful and did not make noise. However, one cubicle in the female restroom next to campsite 18 is out of order, and there are only 2 cubicles. One morning, the flush in that cubicle is not working and someone left a poop, hence the only open cubicle cannot be used so I need to run all the way to the restroom near campsite 48, which has 3 working cubicles. But in the afternoon, the flush is already working.Overall, I still recommend camping in upper pines

Was promised bears if I put my food in the bear locker, but saw none unfortunately. Very disappointing.

Upper Pines was perfect for my Yosemite experience. I am not the type to be hanging in the camp. For me, it was early to rise and hike and bike. Upper Pines is perfectly located that I didn't need my car at all for my excursions (Vernal Falls, Yosemite Falls, Bridalveil Falls, Mirror Lake, Happy Isles). A bike is everything for getting around the Valley floor. A photo at every turn.

Great time for a week site 18 over thanksgiving break! Not crowded- We had snow and even though the weather forecast said some days would get up to 60 degrees the snow never melted! The bathroom was clean and heated- we will go again at this time of year!

Site 18 is right next to the bathroom and people kept walking thru our site all the time along with the lights being in all night along and the toilet flush could wake the dead.

We loved Yosemite. We had a hard time creating an online account to register for an available campsite since you could only register online and the internet was not very good. It would have been nice to have a person to person option. The ranger was very helpful and he deserves 5 Stars as he stayed overtime until we got it straightened out. We are grateful for that.

4 FAMILIES, 8 KIDS (4-13YO) TOTAL CAMPED AT SITE #13, 18. 2 RV AND 2 TENTS. 50-30F. THANKSGIVING WEEK. CLEAR SKIES. CRISP MORNINGS. QUIET NIGHTS. BRING YOUR BIKES TO BIKE AROUND THE VALLEY. ALL TRAILS AROUND THE VALLY EASILY ACCESSED BY BIKE. DO NOT DRIVE AROUND YOU WILL GET STUCK IN TRAFFIC AND DIFFICULT TO FIND PARKING. THIS IS ONE OF FEW NP WHERE EVERYONE CAN ENJOY BIKING. RECOMMEND HIKES. VERNAL FALLS - MOST REWARDING SHORT HIKE. 4 MILE HIKE - KIDS CAN EASILY HIKE DOWN FROM GLACIER PT. I DROPPED OFF EVERYONE AT GLACIER PT. THEN DROVE DOWN TO THE VALLEY TO HIKE UP AND MEET THEM HALF WAY. TOOK THEM 3 HRS TO HIKE DOWN. UPPER YOSEMITE FALLS - TOO TOUGH FOR KIDS. WE HIKED TILL COLUMBIA ROCK. NOT REWARDING. JUST TIRING. LOWER YOSEMITE FALLS - EASY HIKE AND GREAT VIEW OF FALLS. MIRROR LAKE - KIDS HAVE FUN W/ LAKE ICE. CAN EITHER WALK OR BIKE TO THE LAKE.

Just a basic campground for a not so basic national park. Lovely!

Campground was full and rangers didn’t enforce when big party’s and crowds gathered in certain campsites. A party of around 50 people and nothing was done. Restrooms were ok and cleaned once a day. This campground needs to be updated with electricity and improved bathroom and added shower facilities. The location in the valley is hard to beat but that’s the only thing it has going for it.

Yosemite was way too hot for us to have a good time on August 16-18 and we did not even want to ride bikes like we usually do. But we did take the car which had A/C around to our favorite sites and even saw a few deer. Our Upper Pines #18 campsite had shade for the tent and was right next to a restroom which was nice. We were in the inner loop so every other campsite was vacant.Yosemite Falls was dry but Bridal Veil Falls had a little water flowing. From Glacier Point we could see some water flowing over Nevada & Vernal Falls. The view of Yosemite Valley from Glacier Point is breathtaking and we always try to go there on our way home to SoCal.Steve & BonnieOrange, CA

Incredible setting and park but the bathrooms are worse than a 3rd world country. The urinal in the men's room looked and smelled as though it had not been cleaned since 1890. Also, no hand soap? Thanks for helping us spread norovirus! Come for a visit and you'll understand what $12 billion in deferred maintenance looks like. Shameful.
