I love this campground. There are so many amazing trail options nearby and the Tuolumne River is right next to the campground. It is a very different vibe from the valley floor campgrounds.

First off, thank you for protecting our Natural Wonders and National Parks and protecting DAAAA baby BEARS! I spent my 1st trip to Yosemite for my birthday alone during a Global Pandemic. I understand and support any health steps to help, thank you. However, I spent 5 nights there in 4 different sport, one night, walking 10" to the next campsite, because everything was so booked solid and I had to wait on cancellations to make more reservations and extend my trip 3 times. Multiple other campers around me complained of the same issue, wasting valuable time each day to shuffle campsites. This is on top of the fact that almost every night, there really appeared to be about 50% capacity. Despite every night, Recreation.gov saying Upper, Lower, North Pines were SOLD OUT, every night, there were a large around of empty campsites. It was frustrating to be unable to plan a trip because everything was SOLD OUT, to see with my own eyes, many many empty camps every night. There just must be some better way to handle no-call, no-shows, and better management of keep from bouncing from site to site each night. I know you all try your best, thank you for your service. Speed kills da bears. Save da bears. Don't feed da bears. Did I mention da baby bears?

Though it is a decently long drive from the valley, there are plenty of really cool hikes to do here, including clouds rest, and cathedral lakes. Very nice campground right on the Tuolumne river and depending on your spot a great view of lambert dome across the river.

Typical campground horror story with obnoxious neighbors who pulled into camp at 1am, drink, loud, and walked into our campsite looking for wood to start a fire. There was no ranger/staff presence to be seen, and ultimately, they all passed out around 3am. Bathrooms were not very close, and I still don’t know where or if they had water. Luckily, we just pulled in, had a quick campfire, and went to bed, to get ready for the next days backpacking trip,

Had a great campsite with a view of the river. One recommendation bath rooms should have some kind of light in them for night time.

Great trip and can’t wait to get back again when it re-opens. Lots to do and nice rangers.

We had an incredible time climbing in Tuolumne meadows! We only got a campsite for one night. Unfortunately, we arrived late that night and someone had parked in our spot and set up a tent.. I think this happens a lot and I'm not sure what can be done to fix this problem. We were able to sleep in our car parking at an angle near the site. Other than the campsite issue, we enjoyed a full day exploring the hikes and climbs of the meadows!

It was so special to be at Tuolmne Meadows with so few people. The sites are gorgeous. Yosemite is a dream.

The entry staff were very friendly and helpful. I never felt rushed when interacting with them. Site A78 was really an excellent spot. So happy to have received this location so close to the JMT trail access, woods and river. The bathrooms are majorly outdated and rustic (definitely saw mice), but glad to have had a real toilet. If I had a spare million I would definitely upgrade the bathrooms here....Goals!

Nice camp site near the river. I had to go to warm myself up in the sun on the rocks near the river, not a bad thing to do.

YOSE park ranger here, this is my favorite campsite inside Yosemite. It's generally got a quieter and more respectful vibe and crowd than in the Valley and you really feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, even if you have someone in the space next to you. Restrooms are suuuuuuuper clean. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to start any early hikes off of Tioga.

Great location for visitors to the Tuolumne Meadow area. Quite chilly in the evening even at the end of August so bring warm clothes. The night sky was full of stars - a great place to star-gaze :) The Grill (the only eatery in the area) was closed for the season around mid August, so be prepared to bring food or buy from the small market next to The Grill. The campsites are difficult to book so plan and reserve well ahead.

Beautiful starry night view. Wish I was able
To stay more. I didn’t get a site number until
I entered the campsite and hoped the campsite host was at the site and available.

Unfortunately dogs are not allowed on trails, in streams/ lakes or at beaches so we were rather constrained as to what we could do. The campsite is great, next to a stream. The bathrooms were clean enough but the water was cold (freezing at night and early morning) which was a bummer. We enjoyed our trip overall.

Gorgeous campsite near the river, with beautiful views of the meadow in just a short walk all around. People were friendly and this felt more authentic and quiet than down in the valley. Toilets were clean and had paper. Potable water was fresh and throughout. Strongly recommend !
