This camp site is right next to the bathrooms which makes it very convenient for potable water and bathroom runs. It is quite a big lot which fit our large cabin tent with no problem. Our stay was the first 4 days of the start of the season for lower pines and it was perfect weather. However, this site doesn't have any shade during the peak day and I could see this site getting very hot during the summer due to the exposure. To mitigate this, I would advise bringing some kind of sunshade like a gazebo or canopy. The site is also flat which makes it very easy to pitch and configure your camp setup. It has good separation from other campsites as well so it didn't seem crowded.

Campsite had no trees near by, gets a bit hot on thesunnier days, over all good camp space and we even had some reception. Super close to river and other surrounding hikes.

Beautiful site set among the trees, our site was a 30 second walk from the river. Views of Half Dome throughout the campground

The campsite was actually terrible because they were weeds all over the ground. Too many trees have been cut down in the campsites but new trees are not being replanted. The picnic table was extremely close to the neighbors campsite which made the situation uncomfortable. Someone had trashed and TPd the bathroom so it was a mess. The worst part is the smoke in the Valley from campfires with burning wood and smoking wet wood which is hazardous to peoples health especially those with health concerns. Camp hosts do not monitor smoking campfires whatsoever.
