Nice area, bathroom nice and clean, but walk-in site very close together.

Location was great. The campground entrance is off of a road just after the entrance to the park. The valley where most of the sites are is located at the bottom of the canyon, which is a bit of a drive after entering, so I was pretty happy with the location being close to the entrance. There are a few hiking trails nearby, so being outside the valley was still a nice spot. If you want to hit the major trails (half dome, etc.), then you would have to drive down into the valley.
Our neighbors were noisy and messy with young children, so being at the site location was not at all peaceful, but outside of them I enjoyed the site.

- Expensive (36$) compared to NPs in Arizona/Utah such as Grand Canyon, Bryce or Zion (around 20$), and for less comfort
- Very far from Yosemite Valley (45min by car) and when we went there, the road was closed and we had to make a big detour of 2h45 to get there (via Mariposa)
- Sloping ground and car parked on top, no dedicated car parking per site
- Restrooms are quite far and dirty
- No wifi, and signal is very low there

The slopeyness of the site gives you very limited options to set up your tent, and also makes getting to the bathroom a bit inconvenient (you have to walk farther than the straight line on the map would imply), but otherwise its fine and as advertised! A bit crowded but what can you do. Also despite the name the eponymous meadow is not accessible at all from the campsite, as far as i could tell.

We loved our time in the park and at this campground. I especially loved all the boulders and trees and the creativity we needed to make our site come together. All in all, we can't wait to return.
