This was a good site overall! Bathrooms were clean and the people were so nice.We didn't like how we had to wait til 9-10am to check-in since we got in late the night before. That threw off our whole first day in Yose but other than that everything was great. This site itself was verrrrrry slanted so staying in a campervan kinda stunk even AFTER we put a big rock under our back right tire. The campsite itself (fire ring and picnic table) was also super washed out and slanted but we didn't spend too much time out there.

Came late, it was dark, stump in the parking spot, reversed in and the car went over the stump and became stuck, had to towe it off, ranger was no help, some others tried to help get it out but rangers warned about damaging the spot and potential fines

Horribly slanted campsite with nowhere level to sit or set up a tent or enjoy yourself. We were in a camper van and the parking space was horribly off level. Bathrooms hard to get to. I mean, it's Yosemite, so we loved being there, but this site was very poor.

We had reserved space 11 to park our camper van. When we arrived at the campground that space had a large pile of ice and dirt plowed in front of it. There was no one at the campground who could assist. We ended up finding another place to stay outside of the park.

We stayed in two different sites. Site 11 has parking elevated above the campsite and no one behind you - we really liked this site because it was secluded from other campers. Site 63 has no one behind you in the campground. We would go back to this campground. Definitely suggest calling the campground after 12p if you cant get a site online.

The campsites are on a slope and it was difficult to maneuver around. Also, there are only 2 bathrooms, not very clean. Otherwise, the host was very welcoming and everything else was well.

I'm glad that I got a campsite on short notice at Hodgdon, but that was the best of it. The campsite was the last one available, and there was no flat space to put the tent. Also, the whole site was on a slope, with a particularly steep downhill from the parking space down to the space to put a tent. Getting our gear set up was difficult because we were carrying heavy things downhill. However, because we were able to camp at Hodgdon, we did not need to drive all the way to Sweetwater Campground, 7 miles outside the park. So we were able to spend the coming day in the Valley and return to Monterey the shortest way, via the southern exit.
