This campground wasn't too bad for a primitive site. It's made more for tent campers but we made do for the one night. There were some nice areas to poke around in and my wife said the bathrooms were very clean.

The ratio of campsites to bathrooms was abysmal. Each time I went, there was a line of at least ten people. I have never had that experience at any other campground. There was also a lack of signage that made navigating the campground difficult (specifically finding our campsite and finding the exit).

Nice campground, places quite close to each other but it was quiet. Toilets clean, easy access to the the valley. Would go again :)

Hodgdon Meadow Campground provides minimal services (nice flush toilets), and decent sites (clean, well maintained, large enough). It is close to the west entrance, so drives to the Valley take about 40 minutes. Nearby are the sequoia groves, Tuolumne Grove and Merced Grove. It is quiet and peaceful. The meadows themselves are lovely, and are a short walk from the campground.

This campground was really good. Found it quickly and drove to our reserved spot. Unfortunately, this place is very uneven. Therefore, one star deduction.Anti bear cabinet is available. Toilet with flush. No showers.

We had a great experience. No hiccups, had some bears visit at night, but no issues. Our spot was close to restrooms. Spots are kind of close to each other but no one showed up on one side or behind us and the other ones were towards the opposite side so we didn't feel crowded

Rangers are excellent—very helpful and available.
Unfortunately when I arrived and attempted to park at my campsite, someone else was posted up in their camper van. I then had to have the rangers attempt to make contact with the persons in the van—there was no one there. Seems that once you’re in the campground, you’re free to take what we space you choose if it’s open… the rangers offered me a different site and of course I had no other choice, this was my only option.
The site I was given was loud, not level, not shaded like the space that I reserved. I was very disappointed. The campsite had many walk in spaces and the campers were very loud and they left the toilet facilities a mess and walked through my campsite with their lights flashing in my tent on their way to the toilets.
Not sure if I’d book here again with all the issues I encountered. If I’d had the site I booked originally, I may not have minded the loudness but being so inconvenienced and then having such loud neighbors was just a lot to deal with.
