The campground is located in the wood near to the N.P. Entrance big oak flat to highway 120. It is a good location for starting activities in this part of N.P. ( see the sequoia trees at crane flat) Or the visit the Toulumne Valley at Tioga road. It is a 30 min drive away from Yosemite valley and the activities there.

Nice Campground in very convenient location, right beside the Big Oak Flat entrance. This is a hike in spot, so if the campground gets crowded, you have to tip-toe to your tent, which can be a little bothersome. This spot is located along the campground border, down there the ground is soft and might be wet during or after rain. Take that into consideration whilst pitching your tent. Very friendly and helpful staff, clean bathrooms.

We stayed here four nights and it was great. Everything was nice, bathrooms were centrally located and clean.

Nice site. It was a walk in 015. Not enough parking though. We parked on the side of someones campsite and thankfully brought a cart to pull all our gear down the hill. Bathrooms were far away so there was toilet paper behind trees where people relieved themselves. (Pack it in, pack it out!) please help keep the sites clean people!Must see- take a drive through upper Yosemite, Tioga road, view points, lakes, meadows (pack lunch) - no open restaurants or shops currently (Aug 2023)

We had sites 13, 14, 15, and 17, and none of the sites had flat areas to pitch a tent. However, these are good sites to book together if you are camping in a group. The camp sites are too close together, making it difficult not to walk through someone else's. The bathroom was in fair condition, but there was no hand soap or hand towels--recommend bringing your own if you want to be able to wash your hands after using the bathroom. Also, the bathroom, though seemingly close to our campsite, was still a trek as we couldn't walk through the campsite nearest us to get to it. Since we were only there two nights, we ended up bringing our dishes home with us, because the dish-washing sink area was in poor condition--floor drain clogged, sink clogged and filled with water, area generally wet/flooded. The folks working at the check in booth were very nice and refunded us for our third night since we ended up leaving a night early.

The campgrounds was very clean, the hosts or rangers were very helpful and patient in explaining everything that's going on in and around the Yosemite National Park.It was pleasure and pure joy to spend a weekend there. The Hogdon Meadows is conveniently located about 20-25minutes from all the main Hikes, Curry Village etc.
