Site 007 and the surrounding ones were all on a pretty steep slope for a campground. The sites are also very tightly packed with very little privacy. We could hear and understand the conversations at the neighboring sites.

El lugar era muy bueno. Slo creo que deberan mejorar los baos y tener cerca un lugar para evacuar las aguas de los RV.

Great campsite! We stayed in site 7 for 3 nights. The campground is very close to the Northern Yosemite entrance. Each day we travelled from this campground to the Valley, which was a smooth and beautiful drive. This did take approximately 40 mins one-way, but the drive went by very fast. If staying here, I recommend leaving early in the morning (before 9am) so that there is still parking in the valley area when you arrive. One day we also drove from here to Hetch Hetchy Reservoir. The drive was longer and on a narrow road. We arrived around 10:30am and parking was already very limited. By the time we left at 1pm, all of the parking was completely full so a ranger was turning people around. Other than the location of Hodgdon Meadow, the park rangers stationed there were also great. There were energetic and always willing to help us with information. There were a couple things with this campground that others should be mindful of though. 1. There is a large elevation difference between this area and the Valley, meaning that the weather at the sites is often colder (especially at night). We met a few other campers who stated they had not properly packed for the cold nights and early mornings. 2. This campground has no showers. If you are staying for a longer time and want a full shower you can go to Curry village in the valley and pay $5. 3. The sites are not very private. At site 7 we were within 10 feet of our neighbors on both sides and there is no brush or trees between the sites that block view. The most private ones were those with walk-in only options, however even these were within easy sightlines from multiple sites away. 4. There are NO dish washing stations. You need to back a bucket/basin for the campground. You must fill up the bucket with tap water, take it back to your site to wash dishes, and then bring the grey water back to the dump area which flushes like a toilet. Overall, we had a good stay!

A quiet, relaxing campground, with super nice employees staffing the entrance
