We enjoyed our stay at Hodgdon Meadow, its right inside one of the main entrances so its perfect after a long travel day. Friendly camp host and clean bathrooms. Some sites are better than others for RVs, you may need to use levelling blocks depending on your need to be flat.

Campsites were very close to each other. No showers. Limited bathrooms.Recommend visiting Hetch Hetchy, which is a short drive from the campground.

Nice campground which is located close to the Big Oak Flat entrance on the west side of the park. The hosts were really friendly and welcoming. The campground itself is very dusty and as there are no showers make sure your wear shoes instead of flip flops cause your feet will be dirty in case you dont have your own shower with you. Restroom was very clean and there also was an easy place to dispose your dirty water for doing dishes which was a little dirty but very convenient. The food locker was bit smaller compared to the other camps weve been to.Firewood can not be bought at the campground so if you want to make a fire in the firepit make sure you bring some, it can be bought just outside the park which is like a 10 min drive.

Wonderful place to camp. I was there for the first week of October, thereby avoiding the worst of the crowds. The campground was quiet and peaceful. Did one trip into the Valley and was even happier that I had chosen to stay far from the madding crowd. It has the advantage of being close to several meadows and Hetch Hetchy, which has a beautiful, easy, trail along the reservoir. (Whatever one may think of flooding the valley, it is beautiful.) I stayed in a small travel trailer, and the space was a good size and reasonably level. Lots of trees. The water at the campground tasted good and had very good pressure. If you like Yosemite's meadows, and hate crowds, it's a great choice.

It's great to camp in Yosemite, but the experience has diminished since the last time I camped at Hodgdon Meadows. Biggest change was that most campers arrived late in the day and left early in the morning - no one really camped. Facilities are in need of upgrade. The valve for getting fresh water broke a couple times while we were there - gushing water everywhere and making it difficult for campers to fill up their fresh water containers.
