Not for tent camping.

Very few sites accommodate RV's. Most sites are some distance away from parking. We used as launch location to visit valley floor as those campgrounds were full.

Beautiful location. Sites could be more level but tough terrain for that. Well located to a lovely section of the park, including the drive to stunning Olmstead Point.

Great campsite. Loved being able to forage for wood for a campfire. Our site, #35, was very uneven. We had to lift the back and one side of our trailer a lot and then had to put the front end down to the ground to get it close to level. All in all, great experience. Loved Yosemite

Host and Ranger get 10 stars! The site gets 4, the people who left it before us get 0! Site is 6 unleveled side to side, and thats the least I could find. Prior group/person must have been burning logs 24/7, the fire ring was filled and there was evidence of burned unbucked/split logs and coals around the entire site. Lots of trash ( which we picked up). Ranger came by and emptied the ring. Location wasnt too far from the valley or meadow. Its literally just in the park from the west 120 entrance.

Keine duschen, direkt am parkeingang. War in Ordnung, aber nicht sauber.

No hiking available from this campsite - you have to drive to see anything or hike. Bathrooms are small and old. Not bad, just not as nice as most other parks we’ve been to.

Overall a nice wooded camping spot

Be prepared that there are no shops close by and that it is still 16 miles to the Valley. It is a great place on your way to the Valley with great views on the way down. The campground itself is a straightforward forest campground, secluded, quiet. Nice hike possible to the giant Sequois

This campsite was not at all suitable for a larger campervan. It was just a narrow curve going up and down a steep hill with no space to adjust the angle of the vehicle.

The place is nice and in a convenient location. It seems a bit far from the valley at first but, if you dont plan to spend all your time in the valley, it may help you to avoid its heavy traffic in peak hours. Some campsites have their own parking space and some have to share it with others. Large RVs may not fit in any parking spot. The camp is almost entirely in forest. Most campsites are rather spacious. If you plan to visit this place during a First-come, First-served period, be sure to take enough cash with you. Usually, it wasnt a big problem in some other places as it was an option to pay to the ranger at the gates. But here things are different. We were just sent to look for an ATM. I cant see any logic why people who are taking entrance fees cant accept payments for campsite either. Anyway, the camp itself looked well-maintained.
