Really nice rangers :)The food box was really big, which is appreciated. We were on pitch 72 which for tents I think is one of the best as it is like 20 meters away from were you park and it is isolated from the rest of the campground. The places in the inner circle of the campground i think are worse as they have to be crossed continously to access the bathrooms. In comparison, place 72 is calm and plenty of space. Although there is a road really close, you can not actually see it and it has really little use, so car noise is not an issue. Really recommend this campground and specifically place 72, and its surroundings.

The campground is very neatly maintained. I was surprised to be allowed to gather wood from the surrounding area and have a fire. I did!

Wonderful amount of space between each camp. Lovely to be right in the thick of all there is to see.

Generally speaking, Hogdon campground is beautiful surrounded by a pine meadow. The campground host and staff were so friendly and welcoming. We stayed in campsite 72 which is super close to campsite 71 which would be great for groups, but we were not in a group. The bathrooms had no soap - which seems like a simple amenity considering we are living through a pandemic. The campsite has about 80 sites plus 3 or 4 group sites but only 5 toilets which is not nearly enough. The facilities (toilets and 2 water spigots) were very outdated and unsanitary looking. The spigots have a super heavy flow and are over what essentially looks like a large toilet which is used to flush down gray water. Ultimately, this campground could use a serious update. For a dog friendly campground in Yosemite, we were happy enough to stay there but couldnt help but be frustrated with 7-8am bathroom rush hour/long lines for only two stalls in the bathroom closest to 72 and the unsanitary water spigot situation.

Overall a nice campground with good spacing of campsites. Areas to improve on would include improved visibility of campsite numbers from the road, many are hidden, especially difficult to find at night. Another issue was having access to only 1 water spigot for the entire campground, very troublesome to gather water.
