Good campground, right at entrance of Yosemite, feel less exclusive. Place is clean. Overall is good

Not level at all! My 23 Class C motorhome just fit, but was very much sloped in the back. A weird site overall and my least favorite campground (stayed this trip at all 3 Pines campgrounds + Wawona). There was no where to move the picnic table to that wasnt on a slant. Very small flat area to put chairs, but youd be really close to the fire ring. We were very much on top of our neighbors, which was a large group. Fortunately they were respectful, friendly and didnt stay up late. In general I noticed sites were very close to each other. This campground is literally just inside the West entrance (Big Oak Flat) and visitors center is across the street from the campground. Wasnt anything to do at the campground. My 11 yr old and I rode our bikes around. Took 5 minutes to see entire campground. Asked ranger if there were any hikes or fire roads to ride bikes or anything to do. He said stargaze. Was glad we were only here for 1 night and arrived late afternoon. Would have preferred to drive another 45 minutes into the valley to stay in one of the Pines campgrounds.

Slot 62 is very uneven, Not suitable for an RV. Restrooms have been dirty.

Crowded campground with a lot of big RV's running generators. Bathrooms small and not the cleanest.

Nice campsite but parking for 2 vehicles was a bit tight. Overall would go back there again.

This feels like the forgotten campground of Yosemite... there's no soap or hand dryers in the bathroom, just water. Plus our table was on such a steep hill our dishes kept rolling off of it. Campground host was nice though!

The campground was basic, flush toilets and camper sinks with potable water for facilities. Our site indicates was acceptable for RVs up to 25ft with a moderate grade, which when got there we barely got our 17ft to fit and it was more of a severe grade than moderate

One of the two parking spots is filled with tree stumps. We had to park somewhere else.

Great site, easy to find, very clean and secure. Lots of deadfall for fires with nice fire pits with movable grill tops provided. Each site has easy to use bear box, fire pit and large picnic table. We had plenty of room for a 6 and 3 person tent. Plenty of bear safe trash areas and hard stand bathrooms with potable water access. Several trails you can walk to from your campsite as well.

I was told that there were street closures but the campaite was still open. Was not told that it was a 3 hour detour. What a joke

Hodgdon is one of the few campgrounds other than the Pines in the Valley that is bookable this time of year (April). There are very few flat pitches that suit RVs but its well managed and very picturesque, located 20 miles from the Valley and close to the West entrance to the Park so good for day trips into the Valley and close to other amenities on the 120. Its at a relatively high altitude so its cold at night in April!

Yikes, obviously camping in or near Yosemite is going to be crowded but avoid this campground if possible. The sites are basically on top of each other so there's very little privacy and you risk camping next to disrespectful people who may not fully understand some of the finer points of camping. We got stuck next to a group who kept their lanterns on all night and didn't pack up any food, garbage, or coolers over night. Fortunately, it didn't draw any bears into the area and I believe they received a fine the following morning, which was deserved. I've camped here a handful of times but I'd likely avoid this campground in the future. The exception would be late or early in the season when it's not crowded and you can avoid the clueless people.
