Pros: You are in the park, friendly park service staff, you are close to so much beauty and nature. You are 45 min from Yosemite Valley. We stayed in Site 52 and it had 2 tent spots that were mostly flat. Cons: You camp very close to others (think: hear your neighbor snoring so bring ear plugs), it's dusty, parking is tight, you don't get a spot necessarily right next to your camp spot (think. parking areas not spots), no showers. You are about 45 min away from Yosemite Valley but it really doesn't matter that much because the drive is so dang beautiful! Some of the campsites were sloped.

This campground was the perfect place to stop for the night since we came into the park at night from SF. Even with the shutdown, the campground was extremely well managed. Bathrooms were impeccably clean, campsites were free of garbage and rangers were still there ensuring campers were putting their fires all the way out and food wasn't left out. Overall, I was very impressed with how well the campground was still being managed and we had a great first night in the park here.

Didn't know that you had to make reservations online or by phone. Only problem is, there is no signal to get online or to make a call. I had to drive around to find a signal to make my reservation

We enjoyed our time at this campground. Bathrooms were flushing toilets and clean. Campground was clean. Good tree cover. Ground not completely flat but we were still able to sleep comfortably. Long drives to some parts of the park but thats just the nature of a large national park. Would stay here again.

Yosemite is an amazing destination. Hodgdon Meadow Campground sites are pretty close together, bear boxes are spacious, bathrooms were kept clean for the six days we were there, no problem getting water and rangers are great. It can be quite dry in this area, so be ready for dust without access to showers in the campground. We will stay here again.

Reservation system was not user friendly. Had to call (from Canada) to book a spot. I do not have knowledge of the area and it was difficult to navigate the website.
