This was our second time ever staying here, once in a camper van, this time in a tent, and both times have been great. Sites have been a bit slanted in both cases, but have otherwise been good. Bathrooms are readily available and clean, camp hosts have been kind and helpful.

This campground is hilly, so a smaller tent is recommended. It was a nice place to stay on our way to Tuolumne Meadows.

Overall good, it's just the site we're at is a bit slanted so I kept sliding down (I didn't use a sleeping pad). My friends who slept on one seem to have no problem

Rangers are very nice and helpful at this campground. Unfortunately the big RVs ruin every camping experience. In my opinion they should not be allowed in campings, if you need all that comfort Etsy home or check in a hotel. No generators should be allowed to run in nature. . Dogs are not allowed on any trails, bc they could disrupt the animals, what about the noise those generators create? Also there are different kind of generators there are the ones specifically done for RVs which are insulated and then they are the industrial ones that are used for construction. Rangers need to check what kind of generators are brought in. Why not forbid them all together, since we have solar panels? The other issue with this camping was the water access. I cant fill up my 3 gallon water tank if the spigot is higher than my shoulders (Im 5.7) and theres no place to rest the tank.

We stayed at a walk-to campsite located on a bit of a slope, which presented its own challenges for setting up tents and such (Sites 38/39). Otherwise we enjoy the location, the commute down the hill to the valley each day, and the time of year abundant in waterfalls (we visited in mid May). Parking for the walk-to sites are grouped together, so upon arrival there was no room for our vehicle, let alone a second vehicle that we had reserved space for. We ended up needing to park at a farther designated area for a different group of walk-to sites. We would recommend the campground, but probably hunt a little more for a flatter site next time.

Tent sites were fairly close together, but never felt like too crowded. Very pleasant rangers, easy drive into the valley and close to gas/snacks if needed. One of my favourite campgrounds I have ever stayed at.
