It is great that the camp has been rebuilt. It is not so great that many of the campsites are difficult to acess. Be sure that you read that description of the campsites carefully. there are many stairs to sites, poor parking conditions in others. Also, it will be years before any of the local flora is restored. It is a stripped campground, dirt, rocks and tress. No wildlife, no birds, grass nothing. This is written as of opening for first time 2024, so hopefully in the next few years the campground will resemble a forest.

Pretty quiet campsite. I camped on a spot right at the entrance to the loop and not too far from the dumpsters and was never too bothered by cars. No service or lights but youre camping. The store at the gas station closes at 5 so make sure you have everything you need before then.Campsites are very dusty. Your feet and legs will be covered in fine red dust. The water spigot in the 500 loop was not working (it was a giant hole in the ground) so I had to walk all the way to the 400 loop (up hill) to get water. This is a pretty big inconvenience especially if you are expecting easy access to water. The camp store did not sell large volumes of water either, so I recommend bringing plenty of your own or bringing a large container like I did to minimize trips to the other loops spigot.

Great campground and location in the woods. Everything looks fairly new, such as picnic tables and fire pits. Bathrooms were fairly clean, just be sure to bring soap, as the bathrooms did not include this. Also, make sure to look at the vehicle accommodations for your specific site. We booked site 504. It said there was room for 2 vehicles, however, there was no way we could park 2 vehicles there. They do have overflow parking at the campground. Overall, it was a great campground that I would definitely book again.
