Great location from which to enjoy the Lamar Valley, especially for those wishing to spend sunrise and sunsets there. Campground was great, host was great. We stayed two nights for enjoying the Valley, which we believe is maybe one of the most impressive areas within the park.

We where lucky enough to be able to stay for 3 nights at this campground. Starting our holiday we only where able to reserve 1 night at a tight spot, but because of last minute cancellations in the week before we would be arriving, and the outstanding notification for new openings, we managed to change spot and move from 1 to 3 nights! What a fantastic place it is! Nature at its finest. Nice creek (also when your site is not next to it), wildlife and very nice hosts as well. At the start of the unpaved road to it, there is a wolf-watching hotspot (with scopes but visible). So close to the serengeti of America! Compliments for the restrooms where you expect a large smell, but you don't smell anything nasty.

Spent only 1 night here but it was magical. Easily the best campsite in the park and the host was very nice.

Camp host gracious. Pit toilets not serviced adequately.

Perfect campground, perfect hosts. Site 8 was nice. Never heard from hosts, which is the way it should be. Will be back. Thank you.

This campground is extremely close to Lamar valley, which is pretty fun. Its also where all the wolf watchers go to spot wolf packs. We were lucky enough to see a wolf on the other side of the creek. The campground itself had very nice restrooms and the camp host is super friendly. I would have preferred a site on the creek, but our site was ok. The mosquitos are HORRIBLE!

Great rustic quiet campground. Helpful hosts. The fish are picky though!

Best campground we stayed at in Yellowstone. Highly recommend. The location is so beautiful and convenient to Lamar Valley for early morning wildlife watching.

Both Slough Creek and Pebble Creek are outstanding and well run. But please, please, please don’t make them reservation only. Sites are going unused when people book them and don’t show up, and it is such a disservice to those who wish to experience the parks and don’t have the technology ability to compete for online reservations that fill up in 15 minutes when reservations open. A 50/50 program would be more reasonable — half reservation and half first come first serve. Thank you for all you do! We love the park and return twice a year.

We stayed at Slough Creek campground for one night during our trip to Yellowstone. The camp host was welcoming and knowledgeable about local wildlife. Unfortunately we didn't see any animals (except for prairie dogs) at the campground but we did see wolves, pronghorn, mountain goats, buffalo, and a bear farther down the road in Lamar Valley. Site #8 had a few trees that provided afternoon shade and a good spot to pitch our tent. The campground had vault toilets that were the cleanest we saw anywhere. The water pump was very close to our site (an initial concern because of its proximity but it didn't end up being a problem because of low traffic). The campground was incredibly quiet and peaceful. We definitely hope to stay here again next time we visit Yellowstone.

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
