The campground was clean and all services like toilets and water pumps were working great! Campers observed quiet hours, much appreciated! Highly recommend staying here if you're planning to see the rest of Yellowstone.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is super convenient for those traveling through the north entrance like we were. Bathrooms were clean and well positioned relative to our sites. Easy to get in and out. Fewer amenities than other campgrounds we stayed in the park, this is a smaller campground.

Family vacation. Had 3 cabins and two tent sites in the campground. All accommodations were clean and comfortable. Good selection of facilities in mammoth and town is only 15 minutes away

It was kind of exciting as it flooded an had to leave early. I have been coming for over 6 years and have never witnesses anything like that before. In addition got to see a grizzly make a kill at mammoth campground. We had to stay in our vehicles as the bear was dragging around his kill before he was scared off. It was amazing to see nature up close. And even though the floods caused YS to close down it was amazing to see the power of nature. It will be interesting to see the changes that will be made in the coming years to the north section roads.

Stayed 4 nights at Mammoth this year 2022. Rained a few times but the tent site sat on a gravel bed with an awesome view. There was a bear box to store food, water jug, stove. There are numerous water spigots in the campground and decent bathrooms, but no showers. The CG hosts routinely drive by in their golf carts checking on guests. One day about 11 am a herd of buffalo started to approach the CG, could hear them snorting when a few hundred feet away, and though I was present making noise, they were unfazed and finally I got in my car for 20 minutes till the buffs passed. Mammoth CG is located a short distance from the hotel and visitor center. A trail allows people to walk between the CG and main visitor area. Nearby is a trailhead to the Beaver Ponds..a 4 miles RT hike or 5 mile loop..where dozens of elk bed down. One of my favorite stops is the Map Room of the Mammoth Hotel where I can sit and read, have a cocktail from the bar and a piano player starts about 5 PM. Fortunately or unfortunately, internet and cell service is sketchy at best. Need to drive 5 miles to Gardiner, out of the Park, if service is needed.

Well maintained and clean. We camped there 10 years ago and each site did not have a bear box. Glad to see that each site does have their own now.The only suggestion I would have is to have a dishwashing station near the bathrooms

I enjoyed my stay at the campground very much! My only complaint is the faucet in the Women's Restroom at Site 74. It splashed a lot everywhere and was a big pain to use.

It is great to have pre-reserved spots at Mammoth, however it appeared that there were quite a few NO SHOWS. Considering that this is such a crucial site for overflow at Yellowstone, perhaps there should be penalties for those who dont show? Or perhaps have 10-20% of sites held in reserve for the 1-2 days prior.
