Great campground. A bit windy but we loved this campground for our trip to Yellowstone. Our site was pretty close to the bathrooms and had a nice view.

As a solo female traveler, I car camped in this campground and felt very safe. It is very close to a civilized area and rangers while also being beautiful and well maintained. The restrooms are wonderful, heated and have toilet paper. There is a place to dispose of trash, storage for bear food and camp tables. It is also very close to the hot springs and lots of wonderful hikes. I loved it here and would definitely recommend to other solo travelers/ women who are looking for somewhere safe to spend the night.

Great spot and awesome that we could make reservations. Things were quiet during quiet hours.

We stayed in site #34 and it had beautiful, beautiful views! The sites were pretty close together, but that is how most of the national park campsites are. The bathrooms were clean, and did I mention the views? Ha! Mammoth Springs was very close to National Park restaurants, gas, post office, etc. We enjoyed our stay here immensely.

We stayed two nights at Mammoth campground and loved it. We backed up to the road and the scenery was fantastic. Although there werent showers, they were available at the Mammoth Hotel for $7. We walked across the street to the hills and hiking trails along the river and saw elk and even a wolf. It was wonderful and who could beat the price!

It is a very large campground, with spaces close together. It was suitable for a one-night stay in the park, but I would have preferred one of the primitive campgrounds. Those were all closed for the season.
