I love camping at Mammoth. It is clean. The bathrooms are spotless. You're close to Lamar Valley, which is my favorite spot. I also love driving out to Chico Hot Springs for a soak and a meal after a hard day of looking for bears, moose, and wolves. I love being close to Mammoth Hot Springs for lunch and dinner. All in all, Mammoth is as good a campground as there is.

It would be great if wood was available for sale in the campground. Attendants and camp hosts all said wood was only available in town.
Otherwise it was a fun adventure, well probably do it again in the future.
