The campground was quiet and our tent site was back off the road which made it even better. The site had 2 places to set up tents and offered some coverage between sites from neighbors. Great location to access Old Faithful area and Hayden Valley without too much driving. And it also was close to Grand Teton. Only negative is the outhouses. Wish the park would add plumbed restrooms to the area. Overall, great campground

The park rangers were friendly and informative, it was awesome being in Yellowstone and closer to all the attractions. Unfortunately there was quite a lot of traffic and construction happening near the campground. Also there were so many mosquitoes it was hard to enjoy being out of the tent. The camp was surprisingly quiet at night though! The lake was within walking distance so that was a nice perk!

The spot we picked was perfect. We could hear the Elk rut every night we stayed, which was super cool. The camp hosts and their dog were very kind and helpful. They gave us lots of great information. This is a basic campsite with just one pit-toilet in the main camping area, but there are more near the entrance, but we're used to this type of campsite. Having the opportunity to stay in a campground in Yellowstone was a great experience for my family. We definitely want to come back again.

Since all of Yellowstone is gorgeous, every campground gets at least 2 stars based on general location, but that being said, this was hugely disappointing. No running water WHATSOEVER! Outhouses were disgusting, and sites were tiny with no privacy. Hard to believe Yellowstone allows this level of incompetent management at an otherwise brilliantly managed National Park.
