Like the campground. I think the clearcut done at campsite 18 and 19 for a view of the swamp below was a horrible move. It provides no aesthetical value and mature trees don't grow back for 25 years. It detracts from the setting. I also object to the policy of all campsite reservable and none left for first serve. People reserve sites and never show. Having to go online only for reservation camping is shutting out a huge number of people for access. Not fair.

Highland Ridge was the only campsite I didn't have planned-out weeks in advance. I like to keep at least one evening 'non-booked' so I can see how I feel and how far I want to drive that day.

I made the reservation about 4pm(local time) the day I was driving thru. I had no problem finding the campground, however, it is a few miles off the highway thru Amish country(watch for buggies).

The campground was nice and the bathrooms/showers are one of the cleanest I have ever seen! It is a little 'dark' in the actual campground, but I imagine many campers like it. A camp host drove by after I arrived to make sure my vehicle matched the description on the reservation- much appreciated! 5 stars!!!

This is a beautiful campground with amenities I welcomed after a week of rustic campgrounds. The shower was great and electric service made my night a little easier. The sites are spacious and private and the setting is very scenic. Joyce, a camp host, checked in with me and provided a free pass to the Eau Galle Reservoir, though I didn't have time to visit it. Very nice experience. I would return given the opportunity.
