Beautiful campground. Clean and maintained restroom and showers. Lots to do in the area.

As always; the campground and restroom facility were very clean. The campground host came around to each site to advise there was a severe thunderstorm warning; fortunately there was only a small amount of rain, but I appreciated the warning in that I was in a tent.

Site 8 - flat, good size, pretty private + path to modern restrooms, which were very clean. Exactly what we were looking for.

I like how wooded the campground is so that you don't feel crowded in to the campers in the surrounding sites. We had beautiful fall weather when we stayed so that made it even better for enjoying a campfire.

Quit peaceful park. Camper is always in the shade, because there are so many large trees.

I am now 66 and have coming to Highland Ridge to camp since I was in my 30s and it is my far my favorite place to camp. Heavily wooded with 50amp electric, Well spaced campsites, decent restrooms and showers and great hiking trails. Make you explore the tiny Town of Spring Valley and Cady Cheese is a wonderful place to indulge in Wisconsin Cheese.

I hesitate giving a strong recommendation for this campground because that might draw more campers who might take our favorite sites :). We come here often as it is not a resort but a beautiful, quiet and relaxing place. The sites are spaced well with many trees. I only gave it a 4 out of 5 b/c some sites need a bit of leveling and you need to drive to the beach.
