Grant River recreation area was clean and appeared well maintained. Easy access to water to fill the holding tank and the campsite was clean. Other than the train (which did not bother us) it was very quiet and the staff was very welcoming.

We stopped along our drive on the Great River Road. We didn't expect the turn off to the Campground to be long and narrow. The Campground is clean and spacious. Sites well paved. Be prepared for a busy train schedule, day and night. The booth is open limited time but c reservations required online.

Too many trains. Very good without trains and whistles. Maybe make the track a quite zone.

Always nice and peaceful while camping here. If you dont mind the trains passing by frequently this is definitely the place to go and relax for the week or weekend. Sandy the campground host is always friendly and helpful. The only down fall is not the campgrounds fault and thats the cell service from US Cellular. Dont expect any data usage, texting is a slow process along with making or receiving phone calls

Very nice campground, sites are spacious and on concrete pads, Clean bathrooms and well maintenanced grounds, everyone very nice. The only thing is that we were right next to the train tracks. The only time it really bothered us is when they blew there horns. Other then that it was fine. Other then the trains it was a very quiet campground. We would diffenitly stay there again.

This is a very nice campground on the Mississippi River. And if you like trains, it is even better as there is well traveled tracks on both sides of the river. Well kept and clean with a clear view of the area.
