Great place, wonderful breeze coming off the Mississippi, but you are right next to a train track, so buyer beware.

Campground is small with little privacy between campsites. However, it is very well maintained, a pretty setting along the river, has clean bathrooms and warm showers. It was nice to wake up in the am to a chorus of bird songs--there is a marshy area alongside the river, a haven for the bird population.

Nice sites, clean, orderly, a little tight for my preference though. Good views of the river and easy to go biking around the local towns. The restroom/showers were very clean. I really appreciate the staff that are taking care of the facilities. Only downside, The campground is along a railroad track with a gated crossing. Trains going either way are required to blow their very loud horns for the crossing. As much as I enjoyed the campground and facilities I wouldnt be able to stay there again for that one reason.

Awesome camp site, the trains make it tough to sleep but still a really cool experience!

The train coming by at all times was very disturbing.

Nice and clean, but campsites we're a bit close to each other. You'll love it if you appreciate the sound of trains & train whistles, as the tracks run close to the campground.

Nice place. Didn't care about the way the large camp area was arranged. Too close to others Trains are very loud. But being on the river was great

We camp here about once a month during camping season. Its clean, nice people, beautiful scenery, and close to fun things to do on the Great River Road.

Everything was great for our 1 nighter. Great sites and roads. Except, men's large shower has a dangerous crack in the aluminum seat which could break and cause a bad cut.

This a beautiful park. The sites are all level. You have to get use to the train traffic noise. It is not quiet, and the trains come through every 30-60 minutes. Otherwise, ok

Great spot next to the Mississippi river. We brought 4 young kids and made trips to potosi brewery and the national river museum in dubuque. We had fun fishing and utilized the playgrounds. Not much shade, camp sites very close, and the train is pretty loud. We would come back, but not planning this to be a regular spot for us.

The one and only issue I had was with the trains blowing their horns at all hours of the night as they passed the campgrounds.

Very nice sites. Campground is next to the River. Trains at all hours. So you either have to get use to it or camp some place else.

We disappointed in the complete park requiring reservations. We feel that it should return to a couple of loops be 1st come 1st serve.
