A beautiful campground. A nice, cool low flowing river. Easy to get to, right off the highway, but very little highway noise. Great private sites. River access. Could use some upgraded picnic tables. Clean pit toilets. Plenty of water. My wife's favorite new campground. Can't say enough. Absolutely love that there are several first come, first served sites. Everywhere else is all reservations. Or group sites only. Or CLOSED. Thank you, BLM. But really, thank you Linn County Parks.

The campground is beautiful, but the maintenance of the restrooms left a lot to be desired. They were not cleaned or restocked for our entire stay.

Lovely experience as always, next to the clear and cold South Fork of the Santiam. A wonderful swimming hole for warm days. Lots of families. People are friendly and respectful of each other. Mixed large trailers and tents. Multiple hiking options nearby, from easy to hard. We went up to Soda Creek Falls this time (fairly easy 2.5 miles round trip).

Beautiful campground amidst the forest near a gentle but substantial creek. Campsites are spacious, neighbors are quiet and respectful. We loved it.

Good location--close to Sweethome and the higher cascades. This campground is right on the South Santiam River with easy access and it has some small swimming holes. Fairly level for tent campers but not all sites are equal in that regard. Road noise is probably the least pleasant part of the camping experience but some sites are better than others

My camp site was clean. The vault toilets were clean. The campsite was quiet. Folks were respectful and friendly and the waether was excellent. I was in camp site #3. It was super and had wonderful access to the South Santiam.

Great spot! Shaded and creek right next to it!

The campsite was nice, I liked how wooded it was, it felt very protected from the nearby highway (kinda forgot how close we were to it), and protected from hot morning sun. I wish I knew if there was one shared river access spot because the river access at our campsite was a little overgrown with some possibly poison oak and it was just a rocky creek. I wish there would have been a communal river access with a nice little beach area. The bathrooms were my biggest reason for the 3 star rating. Several guests using it weren't shutting the lid when they were done. There were a lot of flies which were really unpleasant. While there was never a time without toilet paper, I wish there was at least hand sanitizer. But my biggest issue with the toilet was how often I could smell it from my camp site. Otherwise, I appreciated that our site had a picnic table and a fire pit. We had a nice stay, everybody was respectful, not too loud at all.

Trout Creek is a lovely campground. But Site 24 has no table! The site is on the river, a premium spot. With the federal cut backs, its clear our parks wont be the same. The outhouse had toilet paper but needed service. Is this also due to cut backs ? SAD!

The site, like many at this campground, has easy access to the creek. Other sites' campers are viewable from their creek access but spaced well enough to give everyone their own bit of "private" water access. The site had plenty of room and easy access to facilities. Even with an almost full campground, the bathrooms were clean, not smelly, and restocked quickly.

Beautiful and peaceful location right on the stream.

Beautiful campground. Large, level sites. Good river access. Fairly private sites. Absolutely clean pit toilets. Way cool day use structure if it were to rain. My only knock is one of two sites we reserved had a heavily damaged picnic table.

We gad site 019 and it was perfect and beautiful. The whole campgrounds was clean and amazing. Everyone around us was respectful and were quiet during those quiet times. Bathrooms were clean and toliet paper was fully stocked. This site has its own private stairway to the beautiful river below. River is clean and refreshing. We had our 2 little kids with us and they made it down fine, but for younger kids or people with difficulties it might be a tad harder but it all felt safe. I saw some reviews about traffic noise, we never had a problem with the noise, the river was loud enough that it didn't phase us. 10/10 recommend!!!!!!!!

Fabulous site with access to Trout creek (not riverside as details indicate, creekside rather.) Checkout is 2 pm, not noon like the website says. Can hear HWY 20 from the site, but its not loud enough to be a bother. Beautiful location. I feel lucky to have had the chance to stay here

We stayed in site #19 - which had the most sun exposure of all the sites, which was the only complaint I had. If you book this site I recommend bringing a few pop-up canopies cause it was brutal in the summer sun.We were right next to the river and the swimming areas were excellent. It was quiet after 10 pm and we loved having clean water available to us.

A pleasant campground. Vault toilet was clean, trash cans were regularly emptied and the campground areas were well maintained.

We really enjoyed our stay at this campground. Our site (along with about half of them- see campground map) was right on the river with a little path down to it. The site was well secluded with trees so it felt pretty private. Beautiful river and location in general. Great for families. Will be returning again!

Beautiful campground

A beautiful little CG! Well kept and sites were spacious with a path from the site to the river in most of the spaces! Although I we understand why, a bit disappointing that fishing is catch and release and the use of lures or flies only, no bait. Just be sure to check the sites if you have a rig 30’+. Not many sites will accommodate. Overall an excellent, beautiful CG.

We rented campsite #9 and it is directly across where a small creek merges into the river. It was very quiet and we loved the site. Since it was mid June the campground was fairly well occupied, there is a small rocky beach and tree cover everywhere. We would camp here again any time. We visited 3 other local campgrounds, but this was our favorite of the visited areas. There is a trailhead across the creek with a meadow preserved for elk habitat. I only walked 1/2 mile on the trail but it was a pretty forested area. A great visit overall.

This is an excellent campground location. Sometimes hard to reserve an ideal campground that we prefer, so make your reservations early. There are some 'first come' sites available.
We enjoyed our 4 night stay!

Early season visitors to the Trout Creek CG and had a wonderful time camping above the river. Campground occupancy was light with only three other campers but the sites great and ready for the 2023 Season!

Neighbors played music most of the day, but campground was great.

@ChazInSoCal - CA

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
