Beautiful few days on the lake. Facilities are well cared for, quiet hours were quiet and the campsites are generous and afford privacy for those of us who really want to relax and recharge!

We love this area so much. We do wish there was someone controlling the noise at nights, however, as all the times we have visited, there have been loud parties until the early mornings.

The one star is not for the campground itself. It's next to the lake, with lovely views and places to walk down to the water for swimming. Even though our campsite had a slightly slope to it, that wasn't the problem. The problem is with the other campers. There appears to be a culture around Detroit Lake where multiple campsites were occupied by disrespectful disgusting people who leave their trash everywhere. It wasn't just one unruly site, so there was no peer pressuring groups to turn down blaring music that played well past midnight (that I could hear clearly even with earplugs in). People were stealing the toilet paper, smoking in the bathroom, kids would scream bloody murder and leave their bikes in the middle of the street, and also aggressive dogs would occasionally roam around. We found loads of broken glass around the beach areas. This makes me hate people. Never going back here, I imagine there won't be much left worth going back to much longer anyway, given how the locals treat it.

Park hosts were friendly and welcoming. Spaces were clean, open, and good distance between. Lake view is excellent.

This is a great campground with mostly private campsites. We stayed in site 19 and had plenty of room and privacy, as well as a private path to the rocky lakeside and an AMAZING view. The water was a bit round for floating with our 4 year old, but we were still able to splash around and cool off a bit. The tent area wasn't perfectly level, but close enough to be comfortable. I would recommend!

Our Camp host, Gary, earns these 5 stars for being kind and warm. He came by and checked on all sites with an easy manner while managing to make the campground look gorgeous. We loved our site 19. Flat spots for tents, open and private, great views of the lake. Super cute little chipmunks. Super clean bathrooms with little extras like sanitizer wipes in the ladies room. We will be back.
