I had stayed last year in site #2, so was quite let down by 53. Too close csmp sites.
One site was too noisy even at 11pm

Odd campground. No privacy- little town no space between the camp sites and each has a little trail connecting them which encourages fellow campers to walk through your area. Good luck fitting multiple tents even though the sites allow for 6 people- this clearly assumes you have a camper. We had to place one of our 2 small tents all the way in the foliage. I felt somewhat lucky, other sites were more cramped than ours though I’m surprised it was possible. Our table was broken. The beach access is nice, but small given the number of camp sites. Bathrooms were clean, but not cleaned until mid-day so running out of toilet paper in the morning was a problem. One of the women’s restrooms had a broken stall which left a 8-12” gap and prevented the door from shutting. Running water, no soap. Despite signage, people weren’t wearing face masks in restrooms, including the camp hosts while cleaning or entering the facilities. Quiet hours were generally observed. Just too many people way too close together. Not going back.
