Campground was not very crowded and we were the only ones in our small spur. Our spot had a great little waterfall that gave off the best sound in the quiet night. Bathrooms and showers were clean but a bit of a walk. Bring quarters for the shower. The mountain pond was pretty cool but we did not boat or swim on this trip. Woodstock was a neat town with some shops, restaurants and breweries about 25 minutes away.

Very private and quiet. Had a small stream and waterfall that is right outside your camper window. Amazing

Seen A bald Eagle 3 days in a row down at the pond. The hosts were great and the weather was perfect.

This is our second time at Russell Pond and my husband and I enjoyed it just as much as the first. While the campground has beautiful tent sites throughout, there are enough sites to accommodate our small camper. Some sites are more private than others, but all are good size and are wooded. It was very quiet at night, the bathhouses were clean, and we enjoyed the beach for a bit on Saturday. While there is plenty to do within a few miles (in the past we have hiked and kayaked), this was a weekend of total R&R for us and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
