This was a wonderful campground in the White Mountains - close to myriad hiking trails, a fun ropes course, a water park and more. There is a 2 mile drive from the highway and then another two miles up a steep winding road - all four miles are through wilderness, no houses, no industry, nothing. It was picturesque. We booked our campsite in advance but there are first come first serve sites closer to the pond. Most campsites are spacious and have some tree cover but we didn't spot any that accommodate hammocks or clotheslines as all the trees are back away from the camping pad. Most sites also have some stairs or a steep slope either up or down because the entire campground is on a hill or mountainside. You can see into other sites, but there is enough tree cover for some privacy.
The only complaint would be someone running a leaf blower (yes, in the woods?) for about two hours on at least two of the afternoons we were there. I camp to get away from this, I hope they decide to stop in in the future as it really disrupted the tranquility of the place. We do plan to return next summer anyway.
